Some sweet retro kits being released about now for South Africa

Robinho launched Brazil's new blue away strip yesterday and it's pretty fucking cool if you ask me...very Pele era. But...also, how fucking tanned is the little soft arse after a couple of weeks back home...obv been training outside quite intensively

Most of the kits whose designs are released so far seem to be the change strips....some nice stuff tho

Here's what Nigel de Jong will be wearing away from home

France have gone very 1984 European Championship, Platini, Giresse, Tigana chic for this (which is really nice IMO)

Mexico away

Italy away

Engerland away

Algeria home and away

Spain away (nice)

Russia away (yuk)

Nike have also released the templates for most of their other world cup as they have registered the basic designs for patent purposes in the EU

Can't be arsed linking them all as they are all debadged etc but this is the USA away which I think looks quite cool

And Portugal's is quite novel

Brazil, France, Mexico and Usa away are all pretty mint. Italy and England are a bit ordinary, but not bad, as Netherlands too. Russia is a bit tacky imho, so is Algeria away. The home one is nice tho. Spain and Portugal away I have no particular opinion about, but I guess they are not bad.

The Mexico kit looks like some kind of tribute to the Winter Olympics- have they got a bobsled team entered or summat?

They'll be showing how to make the Dutch one on Blue Peter next week.

Ahah, I remember watching the movie about the Jamaica one, hilarious :D I've dig up some info and found that while they didn't qualify for the last two Winter Olympics, they did reasonably well in some editions.

Mexico's only representative:

Hubertus von Hohenlohe will represent Mexico in the men's slalom. A descendant of Austrian royalty, he founded Mexico's skiing federation in 1981. He qualified for the 2006 Olympics, but Mexico decided not to participate because no other Mexicans had qualified. He has competed in 12 alpine world championships.

The Nike ones are complete fakes. My mrs works for Nike and she knows what all the new kits look like.
