Micah
Lescott
We were the beneficiary of some poor refereeing for once
We are actually in the Top 4 on points, in reality, rather than "once we win (ha) our games in hand"
We didn't lose as we should have

that's about it

Micah and Lescott.

And I actually thought Barry played quite well (and not just because he scored).

He played a lot better than he has been recently but still not anywhere near his best

a refereeing howler that did us a favour
one or two passes actually got to their intended targets
we didn't lose to 10 man Stoke
SWP got on the park (he hasn't started a league game under RM)
Johnson spent a few minutes on the left
Micah looks up for it
PV didn't get sent off

Lots of positives

The only positive we can take from this game is the point, and that was down to luck!

Like I said in a thread last week, this is an important month for us, we played shite against Stoke at the weekend and we did not pick up our game last night! How we can expect to be the Scouse on Sunday performing like that is beyond me!

Something needs to happen before the weekend, we cannot go in to the next 4 games, play like that and expect results. If we dont improve, we will find ourselves 7th and out of the FA cup before the month is out!

I was positive on Saturday night, not so much now I'm afraid......................

remember how we played against Liverpool after we went a goal down at Anfield - that is what we need - let the guys of the leash - we play like we are scared - the opposition should be scared facing our players - it is a lack of a winning mentality - and I thought that was what Mancini was supposed to bring - hope he remembers that for the weekend

I do, that was a hell of a game, and I would be happy with a point on Sunday again!

My only concern is that under Booby Manc we dont seem to play as hard when we go one down, which is a major concern to me.

It's been shocking of late. We seem intimidated by every team we play and have developed a 'hoof it up to Ade' mentality.

We need Carlos back big time. Don't know what Santa brings to the front line. Give me Bojinov any day.

Well done Micah and Joleon yesterday - it would have been far worse if they had not delivered strong headers from throws/corners.

Got to agree that we have a terrible run of games coming up now. Enjoy 4th while you can, guys. It won't be for long if this goes on.

Yes we miss Tevez, but I think we miss Bellers more! What is the score with him and when is he back!?

Even if we draw against Scouse, Chelski and Hotspunk I would be happy as it is 3 points for us and for them. Even better if we win them I know but lets face it, the way we are playing a draw would be a result even at COMS!

agreed.

Since the sacking and after a brief honeymoon, just about everyone is playing/acting with fear.
Manager's setting out not to lose, players are avoiding responsibility and panicking at both ends of the pitch.
And when our two fearless lads are out (Bellers and Tevez), we are in our shells.
Our trajectory will not be towards the Champions League until we are free to set up and play a team without fear

My highlight is here:

http://www.mcfc.co.uk/Video/Interviews/ ... Stoke-draw

Mancini looking very dissappointed that we showed to little aggression, failed to get the ball on the floor and didn't supply the wide men.

It's clear that games v teams like Stoke don't come across on tv quite the same as when you're actually playing against them; there's an air of disbelief in Mancini's comments & he mentions "it's. impossible to play football". That's the PL Roberto, learn fast or it'll be all over for you because Mourinho knows all about it.
