On stoke's goal, toure turn his back (i'm not having a go as alot of defenders do it now) as whelan pulled the trigger,

what's happened to throwing yourself in front of the ball and taking a whack old fashioned style??

You have to give a fuck about the team to do that.

toure had a shocker to go with the many shockers he has had this season, he simply is not performing his defensive duties, let alone leading the team - he'd definitely be a casualty of the summer window if I was in charge

Seen him do it on numerous occasions. Turns his back and throws himself to the ground. Sometimes works but would rather see him stand up and face the ball when he's blocking. Or even better, read the fucking game and stop the shot happening.

He did the same for the 1st Hull goal as well I think

There are no players these days who consistantly throw themselves into blocking every ball. Their natural instinct is to turn away & even the ones renowned for being fearless still duck out from time to time. I've even seen Dunney do that & cost us goals on several occasions.

Toure however is not usually the most comitted of defenders by any stretch of the imagination & on his form this season imo, not the answer for City. Great as cover but not for for 1st choice.

Not a Toure fan by any stretch but we should be looking at the knob who gave the ball away first up and then Given ´s "Gary Sprake" impression

To be fair to Toure the ball was hit low, almost across the floor so how do you want him to throw his body at it??? And also even though he turned his back on it Given should of saved it anyway.

made me choke on my sandwich too.

Remember when Sprake threw the ball in his own net ? Trying to retract a throw out to one of his fullbacks.

I think Micah is perhaps the one player we have who would throw himself across a shot to block it.

Its because their bottle merchants who earn to much fulking money, everytime a player turns his back on a shot, he should be docked 5% of his wages. I hate this in football, it shows no passion to win.
