Postby brite blu sky » Wed Feb 17, 2010 5:33 pm

these as results for the next 3 games?

How much of an ask would these be?

City 1 - 0 Liverpool
Stoke 0 - 0 City ( city win 1-0 in et )
Chelsea 1 - 1 City

i suppose the thinking was that i rekon we can stop the Scouce playing after the recent good practice.. and we only have to be dangerous once or twice via Bellers and we could get the goal.

So part 1 of getting a result on Sat is not so fantasy. If we kept a clean sheet then i think the belief might start to rise
and then all bets are off.. who knows

Torres and Benayoun should be injured.

Only Kuyt and Gerrard to worry about

Can we think one game at a time, please?

This said, those results aren't bad and I'd be happy with them, maybe avoid the et at Stoke though.

Excellent results.
But as CityFanFromRome said, let's just concentrate on beating Liverpool first.

This bugs the shit out of me (not directed at you personally mate!) - why should WE concentrate on one game at a time?? We're fucking fans, we don't have to concentrate at all.

Fucking manager talk and even at that, its bollox as well.

Thanks.

Oh yeah and I'd take those results. Its a similar question to "would you shag a good looking woman" though IMO.

Yeah, of course it's not actually WE fans that should concentrate on the next game, it's the players and the management ;) but they should do it because if they think too much ahead they might end not being fully attentive on Sunday, and we all know we have a problem with individual mistakes leading to opposition goals.

But, I think in a way we fans should not plan too much ahead either. It has a bad habit of coming back to haunt us when we start thinking " we can get X points from the next Y games"

Nah mate, we can map out the whole season if we want, it won't affect the next game or result.

Only Lawro has that ability.

i would take a draw given our state of play, and would still think we could turn it around, but really i would be very disappointed we didnt take the best chance we have of restoring a bit of belief. 1. by keeping a clean sheet 2. by scoring a quality team goal.

Anoher way of looking at it is, that set of results looks way too golden unless we beat Pool in a good way for our playing morale. So fi we only struggle to a draw then the other two results look beyond us to me

I don't care if we lose all three as long as we play exciting football.

in that case you should should probably look the other way during our next few matches.

The very last thing i 'm expecting is exciting football..

very sad.

i think the drama of the big picture is kind of interesting but is a poor replacement for quality games

Why do you watch football though?

To be bored shitless? No, you watch it for enjoyment. If its like watchin paint dry why bother, so what you can say you won a few trophies, what good is it if you fell asleep watchin your team win them.

I think we've tried to watch football for a very long time. Maybe this is the time we took a step back and looked at the bigger picture..........as long as we win of course!

I watch it because I want to see the team I support win games (and no, I can't simply pick a team which wins on a regular basis and support them, otherwise I'd not be a Roma and City fan, lol). If they win with Style all the better. If they play with style and lose, I'm not happy just because they played well, if anything I'm even more pissed at having lost.

If I'm watching a neutral game, then in that case entertainment has the priority.
