Training Saturday 20/1

Postby Douglas Higginbottom » Sat Feb 20, 2010 1:49 pm

Just an hour today but good to see NDJ back training along with the rest from yesterday ( still no RSC) The usual talk from Mancini and gentle warm ups, jogging and some stretching around a full size pitch in the team positions. before they came over to a small size pitch from some more rigorous warm up work with one of the physios.

That switched into a hand ball game which looked like good fun although I am not so sure most of them knew what the rules were if indeed there were any. Cricketers play football as part of warm up so only right that footballers play handball/catching. They had a good laugh doing it with many a complaint to the referee and the game switched to a football game where goals had to be headed. Not sure I saw a goal in either but it did the warm up ,team spirit job well.

Off to another pitch now for a strong 10 or 11 a side game. Lots of energy going in and it switched from 2 touch to 1 touch to all in and there was never any time on the ball with the midfield players having a really tough time.Micah got injured in one challenge ( no it wasn't NDJ) and came off for a while but was back later looking fine. Toure left early with a physio but there was no problem evident. maybe a new role has been fpound for NDJ as he spent most of the time up front for his team.He did manage to take out Ibrahim at one moment but keeping him out of the main business area before the game tomorrow seemed a good idea.

Thanks Doug.

Glad to read from a totally reliable source like you that our team spirits appears to be holding up well despite all the crap in the press and on the internet.

Nice rep. Really looking forward to the game.

Ah yes I forgot that. Today Mak wasn't involved but Nimley was.
