Can't really look beyond Zabaleta. Thought he was excellent.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Zabaleta just edges Bridge and Lescott for me. Lescott I thought did especially well after getting a knock in the first half but Zabaleta did really well at both ends of the field today.

[x] Zabaleta

I liked the look of the Kompany/Lescott pairing though.

Zab for me , thought he was excellent.

In fact all the back four looked good , Komapany and Lescott for the rest of the season.

zab for me.

De jong was good but when it comes to a forward pass hes embarassing. there were times today when we could have broke but he either tried to go forward an gave it away or went backwards. Slows us down so much

do-do-doooo, he'll put you one the floor!

defence were all good, but zabs didn't put put a foot wrong all day, and in the face of some fierce, generally illegal challenges.

made me laugh when Javier 'how-the-hell-am-i-still-on-the-pitch' Mascherno was having a go at Pablo for getting studded down the thigh and getting a free kick for it!

Agree re Zab and De Jong. As good as De Jong is off the ball he's poor when he's got it.

Aint been home long from the game - for me it was a toss up between De Jong and Kompany!

But have to sway it to the big man Nige.

But fair play to the whole back 4 today - We looked SO much better without Torre in there and Lescott looks brilliant alongside Vinnie!

Zabba, he needed this game, will do his confidence and our confidence in him no harm.
Hoping our new rollercoaster gives us the thrill of our lives.

I thought our entire back line all the way across were amazing today. If lescott and kompo can play like that every game, there should be no way that toure gets back in. Zabba was excellent and finally used his aggression wisely and didn't give away dangerous free kicks. I went for De Jong for man of the match, he was everywhere infront of the back 4. Took beatings from dirty dirk and the rest of the thugball crew today, but got on with it no complaints. This was accentuated when you look at how easy mascherano would go down, that dirty cunt.

I know a 0-0 draw is a bit disappointing, but if this performance signals our back 4 finally getting their shit right, giving us the ability to focus on fixing our attack ... I will take it and be more than happy.

Defence was superd, even from corners.
