East Manchester Investment

Postby ENIAM NAM » Tue Feb 23, 2010 1:58 pm

I have heard that our owners are about to make an announcement imminently regarding a major investment into east manchester by them. No idea whether it is in relation to our stadium or not, or indeed whether it will be anything exciting at all, but just thought I would share!

This rumour has been doing the rounds for a couple of days now.... everything is very hush hush though, and no-one seems to know.

The very fact it's all being kept under wraps makes me think that it could be something quite big.

Either way, anything that has something to do with our owners intrigues me to be honest.

Disney World (Manchester)?

Alton Towers being moved?

Stadium being enlarged and having a rolling roof fitted? (hope so!)

It's gonna be like those Barclaycard adverts...every City fan is going to have their own waterslide/rollercoaster from their doorstep to the ground

A certain manager of a south coast team may be interested in that!

the thing is with these guys and what gets the juices going is they just have no idea about limits.

as i said last time there was a thread on this topic, i just hope they bring their sense of style to proceedings.. cos apart from the money it is something they seem to have an abundance of. cant wait to see what they come up with

I've heard they're replacing the b of the bang with the world's biggest sculpture - it's a thousand foot high middle finger aimed at the swamp.

I hope whatever it is brings loads of investment and jobs to the area, so I can sit back and watch the press desparately try and find something bad to say - foreigners, coming over here, creating our jobs

That's very true, the developments in AD certainly seem to be more classy than those in Dubai for instance. Having said that I reckon it's Ferrari World UK

This is going to have to be special to make it work. East Manchester is almost the forgotten bit of town. I certainly never had reason to visit there until City moved in. Transport links and everything are going to need to be in place.
