Before the usual bollocks starts being spouted about the manager, and finding scapegoats in players, we had chances to really get a grip of the game, and we didnt take them, we missed 3 stunningly clear cut chances and messed up when we had the ball in good areas a couple of times.

Fair comment but you'd expect us to have created a few more.

It shouldn't have gone to a replay. We should be beating teams like Stoke at home easily. Unnecessary and fucked for Saturday. Not good.

Normally, yes!
But not away, and especially at the Britannia.
At those sorts of places where the home team are REALLY strong, you need to take what chances you get! Not wait until the next one!

Apart from that though, I thought we looked great. I loved the way our back 8 dealt with stoke's passing game & the way we got quickly back into shape each time we gave them the ball.
There was that one time when they strung about 10 passes together & went through us like shit through a goose & scored but that's nothing a few more defensive players couldn't solve. All in all, everythings looking rosy. It's not as if we could have expected to get past Stoke anyway.

Yep. Should have taken them and killed them off at home. Stupid on our part and we got punished for it.

The game was in our hands. We didn't bother to take it. They were lazy turds last night, all of them. Although manager HAS to shoulder fair amount of blame as well.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?
