Blimey, I read an article in observer this morning about this citing "a friend" as the source and thought it was a load of sensationalist bollocks, but proves some papers DO have the inside track on some issues.

I'm sure most of us have been shat on from a great height at some time or other over a bird, but most normal folk just have to get on with life. Shame for him, and shame for England in Cole's absence.

On one hand I think good for him

On the other I think why should that cunt Terry finish Waynes England career when he is to blame

If I was Wayne i'd turn up and hammer the mockney twat with a crowbar

Bridge has done reasonably well for us since this broke.

I can only assume the decision he's made has been the removal of a weight from his shoulders which can ultimately only benefit us in the long term?

Really hope Bridge plays tomorrow. I think it's important for him that he fronts up and puts on a display.

A bit in two minds on this one and cant really decide.

1) He is being a soft arse and should get on with it and not let a slimy twat like erry deprive me of a lifetime ambition. Can you imagine if England won the World Cup with Warnock or Baines at left back. How would Wayne feel then?

2) He is behaving admirably and doing what he thinks is best for England.

I guess unless you are personally put in this position then you don't know how you would react.

I think it is important to reaise that it was his best mate and his missus. Two of the most important people in his life at that time.
A big issue to come to terms with.
Time is usually a great healer but this is being played out in the public arena and must be devastating for him.
I would suppose that the reported lack of effort by Terry to put things right and show some remorse hasn't helped.

Personally I don't blame Bridge one bit for his decision...I feel sympathy that he his the victim and now it seems the loser of his International career.
Cappello has shown that he isn't much good in the man management stakes IMHO.

Bang on the money!

I just hope he plays tomorrow and fronts up, I have a bad feeling that he may not and that would be the wrong move.

good points john that are generally overlooked in the press reactions.

anyways, i dont follow the Eng senior team, only the U21's. Partly bcos they represent everything that is crap about England and English culture and partly bcos they are an overblown bunch of losers. Always makes me laugh that they think they are in with a chance of winning anything at all. Partly also im a bit like Stevie Ireland, i think the days of nations and all the crap that goes with it is not really part of the future.
so for me the national teams loss is City's gain.

for my reasons above i am actually quite enjoying the fact that some people think he has dropped England in it..
must admit, if he had doubts about playing for the national team as Carragher did, then the timing of all this is excellent.

f*ck Terry, f*ck Cole and f*ck the england team's arrogant self importance

If it was just a case of them having to train and play together I would think that Bridge is being silly allowing that twat to end his international career.

What we have to consider though, is that in South Africa they will be training, relaxing, eating, everything together for a number of weeks. I don't blame Wayne for not wanting to put up with that.

I would love to think that Terry feels awful about this but he only seems to care about himself. Some fucking leader!

Three men:

Capello: honourable, doing the right thing, insisting on team spirirt, not compromising England's chances

Bridge: hurt, honourable, prepared to stand down and sacrifice something he's dreamed of. Wounded

terry: cunt, wants it all, won't let anybody stop him, only he matters. TWAT

That way when you do criticise him you'll be a mile away.

This story has even made the Italian papers, it's unbelievable the coverage the media circus is giving to it. Poor Wayne to have to be in the middle of all this, and to be honest I can't blame him for stepping down, as Kev said it's not only a matter of playing and training together, a World Cup entails much more than that as time spent together goes, so I really can see where he's coming from.

SkySports have just done a live broadcast from outside Stamford Bridge. The reporter was surrounded by Chelsea fucktards sucking dummies to take the piss out of Bridge.

What a classless bunch of twats they are, I really hope we fuck them over today.

Just heard about that on the radio. I could understand it if Bridge had been a controversial or unpopular player there but don't see what he's done to them to deserve that. I'd like to think that we'd have more sympathy for one of our ex players in similar circumstances but it doesn't really surprise me those wankers would behave like that.
