About 3-4 people will no doubt start threads slagging him off.

And 3-4 people will say that he's better than Mancini.

I'd wager it might be a few more than 3-4 people who think that!
Yes, should be interesting indeed. I don't really ever remember him doing punditry that often before? I think they all do it after they get the bullet, to put themselves into the public eye again.

He was on the day the Goat robbed Neville, still got the vid somewhere. I was expecting the usual Steve Bruce style biased crap but he was really complimentary about City & said the best team won, which shocked me at the time & wasn't in keeping with his on field antics.

I think the positivity of his comments will be in direct proportion to the state of his payoff negotiations.
Obviously

It is obvious you would think that.
Did he beat you up at school or something?

Even if he was serious there'd be no point. We'd just lose a load of games while he tried to sort out the attack. It's either Megsio or A.N. Other from now on but I still have a faint hope he'll pull through & start performing & Mourinho will go somewhere else next season.

I think he'd make a good pundit for this Game. Played for Chelsea who were a Club he played for / supported as a Lad (classic RAG material, IMHO) and he's Managed City. I always respected him but I never always supported him.
Hopefully Hughes had a nice Christmas with his Family, has taken a Holiday and is ready to look for a new challenge next season. A Premiership Newcastle if they've lost the internal politics?

No. Just a cynic. Well ok it was joke but as I have discovered this forum and humour continually pass each other by. Either that or I am not funny. Which if this forum was my wife would be the explanation. Except that this forum is a bit like an old fashioned 'Snug' with old dudes in scarves and flat caps nursing their bottles of mild and bemoaning the state of modern football and it wasn't like this in the good old days of Hughsie who tried to stck it up 'em and now its all tactics and planning and organisation.

Apparently. Unless he did beat you up at school & I've touched a nerve?

Yeah AND a better smile.
I don't like Roberto's smile. He looks like Sloth from the goonies when he smiles.

I thought he always carried himself in the media with class and dignity, and I see no reason why his comments about city on a tv show would be any different. He will be fully aware that the fans, even those who did want a change were shocked by the manner in which it all happened, and the timing of it.
As he carries the sympathy and support of the vast majority of city fans (now he has gone), I think he will want to retain the respect he has, even from those who wanted him to be relieved of his duties, and will be impeccable in his observations about us.
I wouldnt be at all surprised if the away fans make their views known with a few "one mark Hughes" too knowing that he is in the ground.
