Chelsea then.. your thoughts

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Chelsea then.. your thoughts

Postby brite blu sky » Fri Feb 26, 2010 3:26 pm

I had this down as our biggest game of the season ( rags aside ). Still seems there or there abouts, although we are now going into it in frustrated and depressed mode ( as fans anyway ).

So what's it to be?

tbh you couldn't pick a more difficult place to get our season back on track..

Plus points are that the press will be 110% focused on the Terry Bridge thing, which might play into our hands as it does seem to have affected Terry's game a bit.. and Bellemy will give some verbal about this im sure
Tevez is back in contention
AJ is eligible at least.
Wayne and SWP have points to prove.
Stoke games were good battling practice.
czech might be injured i think.
Seems to me we are still good ol' City.. so you just cant rule anything out.
lawro has us down to lose 2-0 thats usually a good sign http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/8539142.stm

Negative points are in abundance.. here's a few
No Ade.
Tevez hasnt played with us for a while and wont have trained with us.
Toure is unfortunaltely also fit again ;(
Anelka and Sturridge have points to prove.
Drogba

How will we set up?
im thinking it will be similar to Stoke. try to hold them off and try to take the few chances we get.

Think we will go at it all guns blazing, come out of the traps and get one early on. I expect an attacking game and us winning by two goals but no clean sheet.

Then again in reality he will prepare far too defensive and we will get hammered
I haven't a fecking clue what I'm doing! Gillie come back man I want my sig back. As the Photobucket thingy gone?

Last season - in our colours - Bellamy ran Chelsea's defence all over the shop. We could have won it at the death, but Carlton couldn't place his shot when played clear through.

Emerged with a point.

Reckon you might too.

It wont be pretty, but I fancy us actually nicking a draw despite everything. Mind it will probably be a 0-0 though, which will be a fantastic result

Cagey affair. V tactical and a draw. Concerned about whether Tevez will be fit to play. RSC is well RSC. So upfront could be tricky.

The best i'm hoping for is a point, anything after that will be a bonus.

Whats wrong with you all!

I've just been to the bookies and put a bet on us to win 4-3, if that does happen the pints are on me!!!

On a serious note, I think we will lose, badly! I can see a cracking game for 60 minutes, then Chelski getting at least 2.

I had to put the bet on though.............. CTID and all that ;-)

The record book and Chelsea's home form tell you what a tough ask it is to get anything from this game. I expect us to put up a great performance of a more defensive kind and with a bit of luck on our side we might just get something. We won't get many chances so lets hope for a special finish or something from anyone.

The negative in me says we could concede early and it will turn into a stroll for them.

I wouldn't play 5 across the back.

My thoughts are that I don't expect to get much more than a point. Chelsea are an excellent Team and one who have coped with regular Management change. Something for us to think about, perhaps.

London Blues - I think there's a fair few drinking Pre-Match at The City Pride in Farringdon and a few of us without tickets who are watching the Match in there, too. Regular meets in an aptly named Pub. Try the Seafarers Ale.

0-0. Nailed on. Unless Drogba has a 'Drogba moment', or Tevez a 'Tevez moment'.

Hmmmm, Chelsea have scored 39 goals at home this season and conceded 8. We have scored 18 goals away and conceded 19.

0-0 doesn't spring to mind with those stats.

Live on Spanish TV for anyone out here, which is great for me as i dont have to listen to any stupid commentators talking absolute crap. Key 103 commentary is 100% in sync with the TV.

I guess i just hope we give them a game.. if we do that i can accept whatever happens
