Is that you owning upto it?

I don't know what has happened here. Fair enough RH, you always got up people's nose because of your views about Hughes, but I could often take you at face value because I shared some of your more moderate views. However this last couple of days you seem to have set out to antagonise people intentionally, on a number of different threads which is bang out of order, there is no need for it.

You have posted like a spoilt teenage rather than a grown man over the last few days

I remember some of your extreme posts when you first joined the forum, and you blamed that on your son I think it was sharing your login, so we got raghaterjunior, but he seems to have disappeared - has this happened again recently, or are you just schizophrenic?

Have some respect for the people who also use this board.

I'm somewhat confused on how to answer that.First of all to me that seems a reasonable response to how I have behaved over the past few days however its me who has been told to go fuck myself been called a cunt a fucktard without me calling anybody else so having respect for the other board members dont you think should be directed at other people aswell.
As I've said before the way I post is something I do not know how to change and is something I think the other board members will have to try and understand.
Any Hughes debate seems to bring out the antagonist in me along with people slagging of Robbie, so, if I use questions or parts of things that people say it is only to stand my ground and I'll argue with someone till the cows come home.
I don't come on here to antagonise anybody.
I come on here to sometimes have a laugh and discuss our team and it seems some of the time that is not the same as most but nontheless it is a point of view.
I find most of the stuff you say agreeable but for me there are gonna be times that I do not and I'm sure that applies to me.

Fair enough mate, I know some of the abuse towards you on the thread has been out of order, and Hughes was lacking (my dimplomatic side coming out of me there, I edited that from shit!). One half of me says that maybe what has happened on this thread was intended to happen by the OP and some are naturally more willing to bite than others, particularly you and John68, but the other half of me thinks that the thread has its place to keep the bickering out of other threads

Who knows?

Peace......

You don't have to call people names to antagonise them and you also shouldn't have to have that explained to you as an older man. You play the fool when it suits you mate but it stands out like a sore thumb that you 90% of your posts are to cause or contribute to a row and most of the time a needless row. That doesn't mean you've to agree with people, God knows I disagree quite a lot, but quoting out of context on purpose shows complete lack of class.... I tried to explain this to you yesterday and guess what? You quoted me out of context.

You know the reaction you get if you wind people up and you've gotten this far in life to know the difference, otherwise you'd have had the shit knocked out of you several times on the street for the very same thing. Saying "that's just how I am" allows for no compromise and is pretty selfish. If most people can see they're really getting under other peole's skins, they will have a look at themselves and you should do the same.

I don't want a row I'm sick of the same rows over and over and I just hope you take half this on board...

The thing is by quoting you say out of context or partially does not paint an accurate picture, for me it is a way off getting my point across.

Mark Hughes hasn't been our manager for nearly 3 months, he hasn't been in the news, said anything about us, so why is there a 7 page thread on him?

How come you have to ask why there's a seven page thread about him instead of reading the thread and finding out? One of the mods decided it would be a good idea to have a thread about our last manager because comparrisons were being made between him and the current one.

However, when Hughes took over, there was comparrisons drawn between him and Sven CONSTANTLY, yet no Sven thread was ever started....

Whatever, I'll just play by the rules and if I have a post I think will upset people I'll try post it in the hughes thread.

Why? because I dare to question the sense of what some of the more established members say and point out some of the things I think you say might be wrong IMO.

spineless.

you attack someone for something they are supposed to have said, but when challenged to provide evidence you say "look for it yourself"? fucking hell man sort your head out.

you will not find is because you know you have made up bullshit, twisted someones words to fit your own arguments. now people have called your bluff you dont have a fucking clue what to do.

i say again: find me the exact quote of what you are alledging john to have said.

I can't be arsed searching for it either but John did say it, along the lines of "Hughes is the best manager in the world for Manchester City at this time"

That sounds about right to me and there it states what Mr.68 said.
And as I've said I think there were other managers out there who would have been better for us at the time(lets say Jose for the sake of the argument)and had more of a claim to being the best manager in the world and the best manager for us at that time.

I dont really want to get in this argument again and would have shut up unless you had quoted what I'd said so I dont ignore people unless they have pissed me off severly.John68 is a well respected member of the site and I dont mind having a debate with him on things we may have a difference of opinion on,but I dont like being sworn at and being called a wind up so I want to refrain from this argument because there is a difference of opinion that no matter how much arguing there is on the subject it seems no one is gonna have a change of mind.
I know what I thought was said and theres others who dont say that is not what was meant.
Its a case of how a individual reads things.

I did feel for him though after listening to him at the Chelsea game. The sacking was a big blow and he genuinely didn't see it coming. Which after the Spurs game I find astonishing as it was a 90 minute suicide note. Anyway Hughes will join the list of 1 season managers who didn't for whatever reason make the cut. I will be interested to see where he goes next. Personally I think he should look to work abroad otherwise he will just end up like Fat Sam managing lower end PL clubs and hoping for a decent cup run.

I fully agree with this.

He is unlikely to receive another big job in England any time soon and no matter what people think about him, for owners of really big clubs he is damaged goods right now. By going abroad and being success there he could prove that he actually IS up and coming young manager looking to improve himself as a professional and prove himself. EXACTLY the main reason why I never wanted him as I honestly don't think he is like that as a manager. He loves his comfort zone and for any professional to step into that next level you have to challenge yourself.

It will certainly be interesting to see what he does next. Going to Blackburn or Bolton or Stoke, places that would suit him the way he is as a manager RIGHT NOW, would in no way improve him as a manager at this stage of his career. But that's the kind of place I see him going in future. Or Newcastle or perhaps O'Neill's successor in Villa once he goes to Rags.

I've always thought he'd end up managing one of the German clubs at the end of this season - I think he's tailor-made for the Bundesliga.

Thats the problem with too many English managers. Happy to stay in their comfort zone. They wont move to Europe and sample the difficulties of other leagues. One did and lo and behold Roy Hodgson is doing a fine job at Fulham and is more than equiped to move into a top 4 job.

If I was a manager I'd want to manage in the PL. It's a much more varied & high profile environment than just about any other, offers a different type of challenge with almost every team & pays miles better. Hence almost every top manager wants to be here.

Very true, Ted. Just to say, it is not a case whether the current incumbent did prefer to challange himself on a six month basis odd, before even thinking to some f****g Juventus or awaiting for some fat opportunity otherwise. Well, at least a challenge at City!... :-)

Nonetheless, I'm not the first to stress the value of further qualifications extended to different ideas of footy.
It is neither a case that Roy Hodgson is one of the most respected coach Europe wide. He didn't need to come to Serie A to get a job: but he went, exchanged ideas, learnt and teached, in what is boring, slower but really the most challenging place for a strategist. Neither is a case if Pepe Guardiola, felt the need to spend a few part of his distinguished playing career at a Serie A club of lesser level: same as Bobby, he had been renowed to be already a sort of coach on the pitch and that sort of stage in the boring cynical accademy of all tactics had completed his qualifications.
Generally, if You look at all the most respected coaches in Europe (i.e of the world), You will notice a common thread: they all had experienced different ideas of footy in different environments.

1. "unintelligible language"
2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

That's fine if you can't get a PL job & need to rebuild your reputation but Hughes rep is still good here wheras, if he went to some average Italian or Spanish team, it's unlikely he'd enhance his reputation & it's easily possible he could be kicked out on his arse if results went badly. Then where would his career be? Meanwhile he'd be further away than ever from a top PL job.

If Hughes was to go abroad, the time to do it would be after a period of relative success here or alternatively if he can't get a job here or gets sacked again. The best thing he could do now imo is try to get another job in the PL & do it as well as he did at Blackburn, then if he wanted to go abroad, he would be able to go to a decent team.
