Pretty obvious it would happen. We do it to certain ex players as well ... most of them clapped him when he went off as well

True but they didn't boo him last year when we played them.

Pathetic. You would think they would want to forget all about the Terry-Bridge stuff as it reflects very poorly on their club (A Cole too). But no. Good to see some of their fans applauding when Bridge went off, though, maybe they're not all morons.

Yes it was good to see them clapping him off, can't tar them all with the same brush , there's good and bad fans at all clubs. I was just annoyed and had to get it off my chest.

loads of "fuck off bridge" type facebook posts from people regarding bridge not shaking terry's hand - then ask them what they would do if their best mate nobbed their missus and a lot of them think "fair point"
a lot of fans don't realise we're watching human beans out there

also, if you are a bird in a TEAM TERRY shirt, you are a proper slapper. end of.
Berbatov wins golden boot, spends following season on the bench while his team loses title on goal difference. Well played, Fergie.

It makes you wonder why it took so long for Terry to come out and say he didn't want to move to us last summer.!

I was shocked at the "boo-ing" of Bridge

Postby Citeh&Crew » Sat Feb 27, 2010 11:58 pm

Honestly, I couldn't believe it. I don't know if such ruthless behavior is common for Chelsea fans, or football fans in general in England, but for me it was shocking.

How in the hell can one "boo" and verbally abuse (as I saw some fans doing) a player who has been so wronged, and done nothing but conducted himself with class? Surely the Chelsea fans weren't upset because of the (lack of) handshake?

So what's next? I can just imagine a player having a heart attack, and Chelsea fans boo-ing as he dies on the pitch.

(Sorry.. maybe I'm still a bit pissed, even after such a spectacular victory)

To be honest I firmly believe that the boos came from the younger fans. You could see on MOTD when we got a throw in that one young guy is shouting "Fucking prick" at Bridge.

I think the older fans were the ones that applauded Bridge when he was taken off.

But yea still sounded like a lot of the Chelsea fans were being twatzoids.

What really pissed me off were those 'giving it large' while Bridge was taking throw ins. Almost begging a 'Cantona moment'.

Wankers!

He prefixed it with "Fucking pussy" as well.

I've got nothing but respect for the way Bridge has handled the whole thing.

A mate of mine got a call from his son who got talking to some Chelsea fans last night, they reckon they saw bridge leaving early in a Lincoln Navigator as they were also leaving before time.

They also said they find John Terry and Ashley Cole are becoming nothing but an embarrassment for the club, they all wished Bridge their best wishes at City as they always thought he was too good to be a bench warmer (I am undecided whether I agree) and they defended the booing by saying there would be a minority booing at our stadium had it been the other way round (ashamedly I have to agree)

He also said the booing didnt seem that loud from his seat, he reckons it was mainly just the kids and teenagers near the front?
