Little boy lost

Postby john@staustell » Tue Mar 02, 2010 8:18 am

Just a quick word after Saturday for our old mate Danny big-time-charlie Sturridge. I thought he looked completely out of his depth in such a match in amongst our defenders and compared to the other strikers on view for both sides. Given that he now has a fair bit of experience, is no longer a kid, and before you know it will be retiring, maybe he's starting to realise why he couldn't get in at City?

No, I doubt it.

Very true, him coming on changed their attack for the worse. They lost the shape of performing nice little triangle passes between Anelka, Drogba, Lampard and Cole

When Sturridge got hold of the ball at every opportunity our defenders push him onto his weaker foot and down the right and seen as though he hates to pass the ball to anyone he simply got outwitted or lost the ball after holding on to it for far too long.

I think taking of Joe Cole was the turning point! big mistake..Sturridge was trying to hard to prove a point and fuck it up big time.

When he came on the commentator said that he is a young man blessed with tremendous self beleif, shame is isnt blessed with any real talent to go with it. Good job he took the money because had he stayed he would have followed bradley and miller to the murky depths of lower league football and would of ended up on a plumbing course in college within five years, probably still will but with more bling to impress the single mums in yates' with

think that's Danny boy's problem: he's more concerned about how good he looks that how his team is doing. always was
Never criticise a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes.
That way when you do criticise him you'll be a mile away.
And you'll have his shoes.
