Sad stuff, only 53 as well. Apparently the S*ccer AM lot were taking the piss out of him a couple of weeks ago about his hiccups. Bet they are not so smug now, his hiccups were induced by the brain anurism he had ... cents

I follow League Two football pretty closely as a lot of my friends are Rochdale fans and I always thought Keith Alexander came across as a lovely bloke. Really sad this.

i think that when he was the lincoln manager a few years, he had a heart attack and he was about 35-40 years of age.

Can't believe it to be honest. Just goes to show you can be here one minute, and gone the next. I saw him on that North West Goals programme only the other night, sat next to Blackpool's Ben Burgess. He always came across as a really likeable character.. a really top bloke.

RIP Keith

Have had the pleasure of meeting Keith a couple of times albeit breifly. He was a kind gently spoken man really, always seemed happy to spend a moment with you when others in football circles would simply walk away I suspect. A true pioneer breaking through the race barrier and also a very good manager under serious budget constraints.

I have also played with his son Paul also a really good lad for whom I feel desperately sorry. Condolences to all at such a terrible time.

Rest in peace Keith.
