Some cloth head suggested playoffs for the 4th Champions League place, with teams from 4th place to 7th place included in them

That is a joke thank god it got cut down I mean if the top 4 stranglehold was still in place then fair enough something probably would have had to be done. But obviously now it's finally fallen to pieces they want to bring this in? They were quick there.. Thankfully it fell through.

I thought UEFA gifted an extra place to the Premier league because of the continual strong performances the teams from our league have put in. A caveat of the additional CL qualification slot was that it would go to the 4th place team. Even if the PL Chairmen agreed for it to go ahead, UEFA would have told them to sod off anyway.

I'd amend the Championship / League One / League Two Play Off system to something like...
4th team Away at the 3rd team with the winners of that tie Away at the 2nd team and then the winners of that tie play the 1st team at Wembley. That way, the side that finished in the last play off spot TRULY deserve to be promoted if they win on the big day. They're still playing 3 fixtures, too.

Not a bad idea but the clubs finishing higher would miss out on revenue and even though they'd have a better chance of promotion, their chairman may not see it that way

Good concept but if the 4th team had an oustanding away record and an average home one then surely they'd rather finish 4th than 3rd, throwing the league into disrepute.

I wish the European places were split as follows;
- Premier League Winners - Champions League
- Runners Up - Champions League
- Third Place - Europa Cup
- Four Place - Europa Cup
- FA Cup Winners - Champions League
- League Cup Winners - Champions League
I wish the Champions League was a two legged knocked out competition as well instead of a prolonged dull as dishwater, dead rubber playing money making league system.

Didn't it start off like that? I think top two go up, third plays fourth and then winner plays third bottom from division above.
