It's all very well saying they are older than they tell us, but it raises the question of where they were in their early careers. According to Wikipedia (I know), Kanu played for Fed works in 1991. That would make him 15 by his age, or 24 according to the article - where was he from 18 to 24?. Akocha started out when he was 27 according to the article, began in the premiership and made a pretty good fist of it at the age of 39. Martins is 25 now on Wiki, signed for Newcastle when he was 19. 32 does not seem unfeasible, but neither does 25. The Taribo West one beggars belief.
