Just had a look at the desktop downloads on the OS and found the Man City Bee.
Must have missed that one.

I think it's actually the Manchester Busy Bee (a symbol of industry), I'm not really sure whey the club have adopted it though.

I'm not convinced by that Chinners. There is a mosaic of it in Manchester Town Hall, don't think it's anything to do with Mike.

Never criticise a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes.
That way when you do criticise him you'll be a mile away.
And you'll have his shoes.

Up until 1887 Manchester was ruled by giant bees known as the 'Giant Bees'. They were propper nawty, they made Attila The hun look like Florence Nightingale. Anyway, late 1987 a bloke called lord Flapstench and his merry men devised a plan to starve the Giant bees out of existence by hiding all the honey in all the bins around Manchester(thats why we have the bee symbol on our bins).

After a ten year hunt, The Leader of the giant bees (Bee Laden) was finally captured after a tip off hiding in the Town Hall by none other than Flapstenches younger brother (Mark Skid), who eventually cornered the Leader and after a brief struggle managed to splat the Bee to the floor (hence the Town Hall Mosaic).

His wife(Kanu Paula Meeof) was put on trial two years later, found guilty and hung.

No problem.

It doesn't end there though. It was rumoured at the time that Bee Ladens younger brothers fled to Trafford to escape . They were also rumoured to be sellin snide cd's to survive. No ones yet found it yet but they supposedly built a giant cd rack in the area to house their cd's.

Also to be found on much of the street furniture around the City centre too, in the same black and gold colours as used by the club.

On a multicoloured wreath stands a terrestrial globe, signifying Manchester's world trade, and covered by a swarm of flying bees. The bee was adopted in the 19th century as a symbol of industry—Manchester being the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution.
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

That's now brewed in Belgium and is a pale imitation of what it used to be :(
They're building a hotel where the brewery used to be.
