in training and set up a decent formation.

I knew we'd win today and by the sounds of it, this was the first week mancini actually did anything of note attacking wise in training.

RSC and Tevez sounded like they linked up well. Not sure if Ade can play with Tevez.

Should have won by 3 or 4 to boost the goal difference.

We had some shocking misses today..we cannot afford to do that in the next matches..NDJ and SWP were the guiltiest.

Agreed Nick. However with RSC's fragility, we can't always guarantee his involvement. IMHO if you're a player getting £100K + per week, you should be made to adapt to a certain style, or style with a certain strike partner more definitively.

Santa Cruz, whilst not that much of a player, has made a real difference in the last 2 games to the play of the team. Today he was the catalyst for this good performance even if he wasnt close to being the best player. His play has released the shackles of those around him it seems.

The thing is, the 4th spot might very well go down to goal difference.

And on another day the ref would've given a peno for that Kompany handball after which I would've twatted Shauny for his poor effort just like NDJ. I'm glad we could afford to miss those today.

was a shocking miss, also he did have options to pass also..

personally i think swp is a great super-sub, but he needs just a little bit more time on the field to be at his best.. i think he only had 10-15 mins or so today if i remember properly

Not so much about what happens when you do attacking sessions in training but more what happens when you send a team out to be positive and attack from the start.

Totally agree. Mancini saw the chance & went for it today rather than worrying about the opposition. Very good.

Horses for courses mate....I think NDJ is ok for when we play against certain teams where a draw isnt a bad result but when we need 3 points then he is too one dimensional for my liking for these kind of games, always slows up play.

Todays team was spot on imo (injuries taken into account)

De Jong is a situational player. Today we didnt need him from the start as we often do not. Then we got into a winning position and he came on and helped sure it up in my opinion.

If you use him properly he's a big asset. We used him too much this season but I think thats partly due to lack of other options which leads me to believe that central midfield is an area we need to target as priority when recruiting players this summer.

I think Santa's a real top player if we can ever get him fully fit. If they'd had more awareness today they could have played him in 3-4 times.

I agree about DeJong & I think he's put in some top performances but should a club with our resources not be able to sign a player who can do that job just as well but also be a threat going forward, or a set piece specialist, or 6ft 4 & help at corners or really fast or at least SOMETHING more than just one job?
