now for everton [merged]

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

now for everton [merged]

Postby CITYSTEVEDON » Sun Mar 21, 2010 5:30 pm

lets get into the bin dippers this wednesday and get the 3pts to get us to 4th place, need to put them away as early as possible, so we dont get sucked into another tense 15 mins. its in our hands now and with spurs who have chelsea, arsenal.scum and us, it could be good for us. anyway might nip into the townley on wednesday instead of mary ds

Everton now..

Postby brite blu sky » Sun Mar 21, 2010 5:33 pm

with some long term ghosts put to bed this season.. chelsea away, fulham away etc.. the key game looming is now Everton.

I have missgivings about this game because they beat us so convincingly at Goodison, they fucled us up big time tbh.
Now, i rekon Gollum has got in for us cos we undermined their start to the season with the Lescott saga ( he really came off bad in all that was said and done ) and he will fire them up to a level we havent really encountered since Goodison imo.

However on our side we have battled back to some kind of security and confidence, so i see this as a real battle that we now are equipped for. Everton will be determined to fucl up our season, but we will be determined to put the humiliation of Goodison firmly to bed and set a claim on 4th spot.

This is now a key game with all the ingredients of a seriously classic encounter..

.. cold sweat and stomach churning 95 mins,

what do you rekon?

I am sure that other team's in the Prem such as your scouse teams are so desperate for City not to make 4th aas they are fully aware that it will light the litmos paper so to speak and allow us to sign the next level players such as Tores. They know it will push us to a place where they will always be playing catch up so a win on Wednesday is a must.

As iv said if win Wednesday i will start to really believe that we can do this and if we do the sky really is the limit.

Lets get stuck into those bastards properly, both team & crowd & not give them an easy ride like we did last season & the season before.

Win this one, get 4th and keep it.

A massive match but only one of nine matches that we need to perform at high levels to make 4th our own and get the Champions League position.

Everton will be difficult but it is not impossible and they will know how good we are at home.

IMO if we win this (and I expect us to) then both the players and the fans will start to believe even more than they do at present that we will finish 4th.

I get the impression that scouse 2 were far more up for up the game at goodison than they are now.... all of their fans were at fever pitch in the lead-up to that game, "We ARE going to beat them" etc...... it seems that they aren't quite at the same level of fever pitch for this match.... and considering we're at home, I believe the advantage is in our favour.... this is a must win game, and hopefully we can get that win.

agree with that totally..
i only see the spuds game then as the last team we have to put the sword into to erase the past.
the rags game lets face it anything could happen,, doesnt mean anything, and we will torch Arsenal at the emirates

We might have a problem keeping it at least for a couple of days as Spuds are at home to Portsmouth on Saturday and we don't play till Monday.

Fellatio is out and he controlled the game last time however Arteta is back, so you never know. I`m quietly confident of a 2-1 win.
