Derby day-Could I pay in €/Aus$ in Townley?

Postby TomS » Tue Mar 23, 2010 7:33 am

So, if I got this one right, many of us foreigner / abroad living followers of our beloved Team in blue will do it for the derby over there.
Let´s count through, what languages will we have to expect in the Townley:
-TomS with a mate
-Fidel
-Moonchesteri
-Dazby if voted.... (by the way, 4 days no PM`s anymore.......)

pay in the universal currency- love. I'm sure the Townley will go for this. ;-)

I should imagine that Sazby would be speaking the same language as the rest of us. How much people will understand is debatable, of course.

the folk behind the bar at the Townley love to barter. Especially on match day.
It's an english thing.
So just bring trinkets (like beads) and other tradable things (maybe a chicken or a bag of flour).

and it won't matter how many languages are being spoken, nobody will hear a word on derby day.

and if Dazby does come I 'll bet none of you will be able to tear his dollars (which is frankly all they're good for).
Never criticise a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes.
That way when you do criticise him you'll be a mile away.
And you'll have his shoes.

I could handle over a place in the (german) Cupfinal.
We beat FC Augsburg 2-0 yesterday and reached (as Cup defender) the finals for the 10th time.....

So, a derby win please and exactly a month later a cup win would do it for me :-)

I usually speak some form of Japanese when I'm pissed and usually get the beer for now't. They just look at me as if I'm retarded and say 'Awwwww, he must've lost his carer!'.

I've got first dips for Chinner's SC if he can't make it.
I play for Maarssen. We actually have one Amersfoort team in our league, Hoogland.
Who are you playing on Sunday?

Voorwaarts at fuclin 9.45 in the morning! To make it even worse, the clocks change to summertime too so that'll be an early night for me...
Only positive thing is I'll be finished early so will pop into town after the game, have a few beers and then make my way to the stadium for the Utrecht match.

We had one of the voorwaarts teams in our league a couple of seasons ago. At least it's the right side of town for you coming from Amersfoort.
