We have no bottle for this....we just are not top 4 material right now.

Top of my head.
Toure,
Zabba
De Jong
Vieira
swp
Rsc

None of them are top 4 material..squad players at best.We will have to wait till the summer to have a clearout and bring in real quality players.
Im fucking depressed, This match was a match we really had to win..a draw at worst.

I dont want to hear we were unlucky ect ect...it,s bolloks.

i agree, could be that im so pissed off but so many of our players poor when faced with an organised team, mancini tactics baffling, starting ireland bringing on swp and then taking off johnson abs baffling.

why is every second touch a tackle so many players with no 1st touch its embarassing

I'm annoyed but I thought it was one of those games where the ball just didn't run for us in the penalty area

Overall we were just unlucky on the night

Thats the thing I noticed as well mate, not one of them could control the ball tonight!

It was a gutless performance all through the team except for tevez

We have a far better squad of players than Everton.

They are not being coached and managed properly and aren't motivated enough.

Carl, I have to agree with you, something is well wrong with this squad, Moyes has done a good job on us, and teams of that kind always have, forget top4 it was just a dream, hopefully get a europa league spot, and build from there.

True, but only to an extent. We weren't just unlucky insofar as they were not at all lucky. Outplayed. Which isn't to say Everton don't have a very strong core of players - never likely to be an easy game but one we need to have done better in to match our aspirations.

We were illprepared and outclassed by a team we should have figured out how to combat after the shower of shit we saw at Goodison.

Unlucky is too kind. They were shit.

I suppose its about opinions. I have no idea whether we were prepared properly. For all I know the trainig an preparation could have been perfect.
Outclassed? No sorry. Don't agree. It was a game that could have gone either way. They took their goal scoring chances, we didn't. Instead of putting our foot on the ball and getting a shot in we seemed to prefer endless dummies, backheels, sideways passes etc. When we did get a good chance there was a miscontrol or a ricochet. Either that or Bellamy ran with his head down and passed it to someone who wasn't ready.

The tactic that does my head in is passing it backwards from the oppo's half for Given to bang it forward resulting in us losing the ball due to lack of height. That was as bad as Spuds away. Relying too much on Carlos. Busted a gut as usual but had an off night in front of goal. When this happens somebody else has got to step up like AJ did at Sunderland. The defending for the 2nd was garbage and that was the worst i've seen Barry.

Without meaning to get into a petty arguement over wording, the way Everton came out after ht and bossed the game for the next 15 minutes while we ran around like headless chickens was as outclassed as ive seen us for a long while. It continued once we had some pressure on as they stopped us creating good chances over and over again. Then they hit us on the counter for 2 nil with a classy counterattacking move. Thats being outclassed to me. If its not to you then fair enough.

it's basically only Negative Nigel who does that.

No, that's a TACTIC. Quite a lot of Italians use it.

To call him negative Nigel when his sole job is defensive midfield is mad.

I would have gone for the name "Negative Roberto"

I'm sorry we don't deserve fourth place chaps. We have drawn too many games against average teams.

We are a team which relies far too much on CT & Bellers, and also too much importance on an early goal. The stat which was mentioned by Hincliffe tonight is shocking....17 clean sheets in Givens 60 games.

I'm not saying he's to blame, but when we need to score at least twice to get anything going, something is wrong, and IMHO Mancini is right to try and get the defence sorted. We know we can score, but we need to give ourselves a better chance in games by shutting down the opposition.

And pretty much every centre half eg Toure from halfway. It's been happening for a while though and doesn't stick so why persist?
