and Moyes gets a letter to remind him of his responsibilities, Mancini should have taken him out when he had the chance.

Nothing angers me more than the FA these days.

Look at what Gerrard did, look at what Ade did. 0 charge for Gerrard, 4 games for Ade.

Look at what Wenger did twice - Pardew and Jol...

How do you think Mancini will be punished?

My guess is as harshly as can be.

Yours?

Most likely a 9 point deduction to keep us outta the Sky 4.

Although, we seem to be doing a good enough job of that ourselves...

Had this been Taggart it would have gone by without a word being said. But, of course, some people can do no wrong. It's all about who you know, and of course Moyes is famed for being one of Slur Alex's puppets.

Not surprised at all. We've been fucked over a fair few times now by the FA this season.

On a serious note, what can the FA *actually* do here - touchline ban for a few games and/or a fine?

I can see a 3 match touchline ban coming up. Arise Sir Brian Kidd.

Corrupt bunch of bent twats...... seriously!!!

Walton obviously saw enough of the handbags to send them both to the stands...... so by the same logic, the FA should have dished out equal punishements.....

Has there been ANY incident this season that we've been 'let off' with? I really cant think of one?

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has been charged with improper conduct by the Football Association following his clash with Everton's David Moyes.

Mancini and Moyes were sent to the stands after a scuffle during Everton's 2-0 Premier League win on Wednesday.

Having considered the referee's report, the FA has taken action against Mancini while Everton boss Moyes has been warned about his future conduct.

Mancini has until 6 April to respond to the disciplinary charge.

Mancini immediately offered an apology following the highly charged match, while Moyes insisted he has no personal vendetta against Mancini.

"There was nothing untoward about what happened, Roberto apologised, we both ended up walking down the tunnel together," said the Scot ahead of Everton's match against Mick McCarthy's Wolves on Saturday.

Mancini plays down fracas with Moyes
"But I think I will be staying well away from Mick's dug-out for this one - he'd better keep away from mine!

"There is quite a distance between the two dug-outs at Molineux so I feel we will both be safe this time.

"There's many times I have run to get the ball and to try to speed the game up, I've got no problem with that.

"It is a passionate game and it shows that people care about their jobs. These things happen."

Fourth official Howard Webb had to separate the two managers after Mancini took exception to Moyes picking up the ball, an action the Italian interpreted as time-wasting.

And referee Peter Walton sent both men to the stands before allowing the game to continue.

"I wanted to get the ball because there was another five minutes at the end," said Mancini, who is under pressure to deliver a fourth-place finish this season.

They may sound like a cheesy 80s pop duo, but Mancini and Moyes were more rant and rave than Chas 'n' Dave

Chris Charles
"This can happen in a game but it is finished now.

"I was frustrated for the players because we played a good game and sometimes it can happen where scoring a goal is impossible."

The Premier League encounter was always going to be a tense affair given that Moyes had been critical of City's handling of the £22m summer signing of Everton defender Joleon Lescott.

Speaking ahead of the match, he said again that the Lescott saga had contributed to Everton's poor start to the season.

Moyes defended his actions, saying he was simply preparing to make a substitution.

"I caught [the ball] because I was making a substitution, I would have thought it would actually have helped him," he said.

"I was very surprised, I didn't know what I had done wrong.

"Maybe I held onto the ball a second or two longer than I should have done but I was trying to make a substitution.

Moyes praises passing and possession
"But if I had let the ball go, let it run down the touchline - I actually speeded it up. Next time I might just let the ball run through."

Moyes added that he felt the decision to send him off was harsh but said there would be no hard feelings and said he would try to have a drink with Mancini.

He added: "He showed his passion for his team and his club and I can accept that."

City's loss to Everton - sealed by a first-half goal from Tim Cahill and late Mikel Arteta strike - was their first home defeat of the season and dented hopes of securing a Champions League placing.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger defended Mancini and Moyes, saying such flashpoints are understandable with so much at stake.

The Frenchman is no stranger to clashes in the technical area, having confronted both Spurs boss Martin Jol and West Ham manager Alan Pardew in recent seasons.

He said: "I had some [incidents] but we are all under pressure.

"During a game at one specific moment it can happen that, for a fraction of a second, we lose it a little bit. It can happen to anybody.

"Even if after the game, it can still happen. It just shows that we are humans like everybody and that we care."

It says on the OS.

A Regulatory Commission will hear the charge by or before 19 April.

So he could make the derby but be banned for the last few games?

I think a fine is much more likely than a touch-line ban, especially since the hearing won't be until the 19th.
