Torres or Villa?

Postby Bojinov's left foot » Thu Apr 01, 2010 4:31 pm

If we were able to sign either Torres or Villa to partner Tevez for next season who do you think would compliment Tevez best? Or is there another striker out there who would be best?

Torres. Younger, Prem Proven and oh the pleasure of taking Liverpool's best player away from them.

Would love to see Villa here too tho.

Torres for me, Premier proven, height and pace. Benzema as a reserve choice.

Of course if we get Villa then Mancini must have a plan as to how it would work so would not be unhappy at all.

Would anyone take Torres' recent injury record into account when choosing him?

the injury record is the only thing that would make me think twice ... that being said, when he plays he contributes.

i like villa a lot, but if that happens our front 4 are going to be lightweight midgets, and I see that being a problem in the prem more than other leagues.

Torres every time, proven over course and distance.

Neither will be signing for us though so its a moot point.

Villa.

Best finisher out of the two, sign Benzema to compliment the rest of the attack.

I personally think Villa is a far better player. Torres fookin dives about too much and is always injured.

They are both world class strikers. Unfortunately I don't think we can sign either of them. If they are on the move they'll end up in La Liga.

Torres just edges it for taking part in building up more than Villa.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Benitez just rubs horse placenta all over Torres after every game and keeps patching him up. He needs some serious time to heal and get his body back up to strength, rather than coming back only 70% fit. However that wont happen in a world cup year.

Scouse 1 are so shit without him, they have to have him on the pitch to compete at the higher level

Neither for me. Torres purely for personal reasons; ( he's a diving, whinging, fish-headed twat & he makes me physically sick) & Villa would be vastly overpriced & difficult to fit into the present team without dropping players such as Bellamy or Tevez, who have proven to be effective in the PL wheras Villa is an unknown quantity who may not work alongside either of them.

Rather we unearthed the next top striker & signed him instead.
