Glad Rooney's injured?

Following on from the World Cup/4th place discussion. This came up in the pub last night and everybody thought I was nuts.
Keeping in mind that perceived wisdom says that both filth and England need him for any chance of glory. But are you happy to see Rooney miss the filth's run in and possibly fuck up their chances of success but also him be out of the World Cup? I'd be delighted to see them crash and burn in his absense, even if it meant he was out of action all summer, particularly as we still have to play them.
And would you take beating the shite this month over a World Cup win? I defo would. Not a problem.

Honestly I love the fact he's out being a City fan and I think we could do the world cup without him as we were never gonna fucking win it anyways. Sick of the media being up his arse and we needed a reality check and him being out could be the reality check they need. I would have preferred him to be there just to show the world even with our best team we still lose but then Bridge decided not to play so fuck it lol. I really dislike the guy I am not denying the goals he probably would have scored but I reckon we could get them without him (England). It's not as big of a loss as everybody thinks...

i will be happy if he misses the game with us as obviously it helps our chances.

for me this is the ideal scenario: injured until the scum play spurs, plays vs spurs and scores 10 goals, then injured until the end of the scum's season, then off to SA.

You want us to show the world that England will lose with or without Rooney??

Do you think before you type or do you just let your fingers run away with themselves and hope for the best?

Well he will be back in a month, hopefully long enough to fuck up Scums league run, but short enough to get back to full fitness for England. A little break for a month will do him good.
Plus he'll miss the derby

Aye, the lack of focussed, experienced centre-halves and the missing left-back are going to be more important. It is virtually impossible to win the World Cup without an experienced back four so why does anyone think having rooney will make any difference?

Taggart says Shrek will be out for two to three weeks so he'll be fit to play against us unfortunately.

England have a much better chance of World Cup success with Rooney in the side. But I don't think it's our year. The whole system of young English players needs to be looked at and reworked. We need a Team. Not just one Lad.

Maybe it's a generation thing but quite frankly I want United to put their strongest team out, that way when we beat them there's no excuses.

It's always the same , a key player gets injured and it's an apparent disaster !

Not so, other players still manage to cover for the injured player.

When Carlos was out we still had others scoring goals. We don't appear to have missed Ade that much even if his addition does
bring us more squad strength.

Seems like everybody and his dog has been asked about Rooneys injury. When Sky phoned up our house, the dog answered. When asked about the injustice of it all, she said she thought it was a bit 'Ruff'............

Disappointed it's not turned out to be as serious as I hoped. Hopefully Sir Bacon will rush him back too soon as he does with most of his top players & he'll have a terrible game then be out for the rest of the season.

I'm going to say something everybody will absolutely fucking hate me for.

I want Rooney fit and United to win the title.

Reasons? Wanting to keep football dominance in the North West/Manchester and wanting to keep the cockneys out of silverware.

I like the North West and I hate cockneys.

I apologise for the offence I have probably caused with my second sentence.

I only hate United on derby day. Otherwise, all my family etc are rags. If I can't be happy with City ruling the roost, then at least I can be happy for them.

I never like to see any player injured(well now Keane isn't playing anymore), so no I am not glad he is injured.

Well it is all about opinions - and after all you did apologise in advance due to your recognition that such a view must surely be viewed as totally ridiculous from the vast majority of CITY fans

For me - in my 50's - born Salford - 40+ years a dedicated CITY fan - my generation / upbringing simply cannot conceive that people exist that are CITY fans and hold such views

I would laugh / celebrate any damage done to that club and all associated with it - and bemoan any success (so yes I have had a pretty miserable 40 years)

Amazing view for you to hold IMO
