Could any of you Aussies give me you thoughts on Tommy Oar, Michael Zullo and Adam Sarota? They're three kids (17, 21 and 21 or something like that) from Brisbane Roar that will join Utrecht next season. Are they any good? Do you think they will have what it take to make an impact on the Dutch league already next season?

I wouldn't be too hopeful if they're playing in Aussie lge at the age of 21...

not that I know anything about the league tho.

Seen them a few times when I was over in Oz. Oars a tricky winger, plenty of pace and skill, bit lightweight though. Zullo was originally a winger but got moved to full back and looked good there. Sarota is a decent midfielder, good on the ball and can pick out a good pass

That is brilliant news. Three of the roars best players. Tommy Oar is Australia's next big thing. He's small but very smart on the ball. Michael Zullo is the player Tommy overtook as the next big thing. Zullo is a bit older, a bit smarter and has just recovered from a long term injury. Both these players are left footed.
Adam Sarota is a right footed midfielder. He spent a season in Germany before coming back to Oz and impressing with some cameo performances.

Good moves for the trio and good signings for Utrecht.

The three are good players for the a-league.. Tommy Oar is one of the best things to come out of the a-league for me as Daz has said he a tricky winger.. I always consider Zullo a winger as well because I always felt Ange made a big mistake moving him to left back considering his poor tackling technique.. As for Sarota he seems like a very solid centre mid

Oar is supposed to be the dogs bollocks. Looking forward to seeing him in action next season.

Oar had a really strong finish to the season capped off by a great game for the socceroos a few weeks back, the other two have had good moments but as with most of the roar mixed them with moments of mediocrity.

I think a move is best for all 3, but a shame for the roar.

In 2005 my state league team played Pine Rivers (part of the Queensland Premier League) on a tour kind of thing. Sarota was playing for them (it was shortly before he went off to Koln) and I played centre mid against him.

Oar is the one that's caught all the headlines lately but I'll be very interested to hear how the three of them get on.

Thanks for the replies. It will be interesting to see them next season.I doubt all three will make the first team straight away, but I reckon it's a good idea bringing all three in. Australia is a long way away (as Dazby is painfully aware of) and they're all three still lads, so I think it will mean a lot for all of them to have pals around.
