Tonight Dazby didn't make it... But could the board make a sponsorship a year for one of our foreign contributors to enjoy our hospitality?

Could we raise say £500 between us to assist with travel? Just a thought?

It's a nice idea but I don't think £500 would be anywhere near enough tbh. Besides, we struggled to raise that sort of money to get Carl Ramsbottom home from Germany so I reckon it's a none starter.

If it's a contribution for them KK It would surely help?

I don't know of Davids situation, but surely a few bob could help our international brethren? Let's not dismiss the possibility?

I'm willing to give it a go mate but can't see how it would work.

How would we raise the money?

that would be up to the board gio... Some sort of committee? Maybe a comittee of all city forums? Bringing few bods to games?

That is a good question! I don't know! It means responsibility for Dan, senior posters? We post on here for free. Maybe an annual fee of £5.00 to go to the site maintainence and a homecoming fund????????

Dan hasn't been around since last year mate. Personally I would never want to charge people to use this site (regardless of how the money was to be used).

If people think this idea is a goer then I am happy to support it, but I think it should be up to the individual how much they put in (if any).

I see where you are going and i am gutted that Dazby didn't make it to the derby because LAHAD and a few others put a lot of effort in to get our bloke over but it wasn't to be. 8,000 votes altogether for fucks sake Dazby must have got that on his own with the amount of canvassing that people done on here.
We have got the whole summer to sort this to get that muvver over for the first home game of next season. I dont know how the paypal stuff works but the bluemoon lot picked their candidate out and have sorted him out to get over here. £100 starts it off from me so if we can raise the money for the flight [Dazby you choose your dates, times and flights] then let's get it on.

Ok folks i'm not happy about how this all went because i thought it was a dot on the card that we would see you on the 17th but i dont go into all this conspiracy stuff so let's see you in the summer for the first home game of the season. We can get this going with a small donation from members of this forum to get your narrow arse over here to get the beers in.
If anybody can set up a paypal account i have £100 to start it off.

They have done this on bluemoon for another of the competitiors and have raised £1100 so far and are trying to lobby Etihad for a free seat for his wife, he should be here for the derby
"I scored after 19 minutes a "bluemoon" goal - David White picked it up, he saw me standing alone, he crossed and I hammered it home. The moon had turned gold"

You certainly haven't offended me mate. In theory I think it's a great idea, I just have my doubts about the practicality of it.

If you, and others, have some ideas on how to go about it then I'm sure we could sort something out.

My proposal would be to try and cover the cost of the tickets and accommodation and let the individuals sort out their own travel. I reckon this would be a lot more realistic in terms of raising money and it would also mean that we would have to raise the same amount whether they were travelling from Ireland or Australia.

Why should the money just go to Dazby? There's inevitably other Blues who have never been or rarely go.

After all the effort some of us put in to raise votes for Daz, it seems like a good place to start,
I would like to get Dazby over for next season like Spiv said,
I aint got much money, but i am offering £50 into the pot, as i was gutted for dazby when i heard it wasnt him who won....
Heres hoping we can sort this....

Good on ya Spiv. I'll match yr 100 quid to bring our Aussie mate Dazby to COMS. If this works out and depending on the dates, I might be there too. Defintely planning a trip for a home match (or maybe a CL match -fingers crossed) next season.
