I'd had a few beers by kick off and watched the game with my old man and my brother and had a few more. My old man had to calm me down in the second half as I was fuming with Laws who seemed to be moaning at the officials about the conditions. I was nervous as fuck for the last half hour and, as you say, typical City - 6-1 up and shitting yourself.

Ha ha, very true! Only with City you can't be fully relaxed at 5-0 lol. Around the 50-60minutes I was very worried lol.

Once we were 5-0 up, it became very hard to justify abandoning the game. City - wisely - became slightly more cautious in the second half, and a comeback from Burnley wasn't even fractionally likely, so the only reason for stopping the game would have been the threat of injury to players. And if footballers can't even play for 45 minutes without breaking their own necks, they shouldn't be allowed out alone, never mind be allowed to play professional football.

I was frantically searching the internet to find out how long you have to play for the result to stand. I couldn't find the answer but was reliably informed that it is 70 mins.

I'm surprised the lazy bastard groundsmen didn't sprinkle the pitch at half time.

My rag mate was taking the piss saying ''typical City fans, 5-0 up and yer still biting your nails'' I well thought the game was gonna be abandoned. Que huge sigh of releif when the clock got to 70 minutes which we all agreed was the cut off point for the result to stand.

Spent the 2nd half worrying that the match will be abandoned. Spoilt it for me. But in the end we came through and completed a perfect day after Spuds lost. Best birthday (today) present I got in my life. Thanks City.

I was shitting myself from the minute the whistle blew and the second half kicked off that the game would get killed off. That would have been "typical City". Seems we are finally leaving that behind us.

I think the only thing 'Typical City' now is the fans, we all think something's gonna go wrong and we seem to love the tag. This near all new squad don't have the mentality of old, that we haven't won out for nearly 3 and a half decades. They just seem to be of a mind-set that we can win something sooner rather than later.

Speaking to other Top 4 supporters, their outlook is that they should be winning every game they play and are more worried about not winning. We as fans however, and fully justified, seem to have the mind-set that we are more worried about not wanting to lose, leaving us with a sense of foreboding when it comes to the games.

If we all get the 'Win every game' mentality soon, as I think our players have, then that will transmit throughout the club and lead us to glory.
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

The last time I felt utter relief was when SWP scored the 4th in the derby.
