.. we could be looking at just 7 points difference at a late stage of the season.
Last season we ended up 40 points behind them.
Discuss.

Personally i couldn't give a shit about 'them'. My concern are Spurs and possibly Liverpool still. We are undoubtedly improving though and so we should with the amount the big chief has spent.

More importantly, if we beat them I reckon we can start packing for our Euro CL jaunts!

7 points this season how many next? I honestly think we could build a team to beat them next season providing we come top 4 this.. Though it would be a tough season but if we keep our home record all we need to start doing is performing away.

Apparently we have the 5th best away record in the PL this season.
Which surprised me to be honest.

My only concern is US!
L'pool, Spurs and Villa are all still in with a shout ...... but not if we keep winning and beat them in the process.
It's all down to us now ..... no excuses and no complaints at the end of it.
11 points still required and it's up to us to get them. If we don't get those points by losing to Spurs and Villa, then we don't deserve to be in Champs league and would probably get turfed out in the group stages anyway.
We have played all season to be in this position with 6 games to go ...... we are just where we would have wanted to be and must sieze the moment and not rely on anyone else.

It's ALL in our own hands now. We can't give any more of the shitty/clueless performances like we saw against Everton (twice).
We should expect nothing more than a routine win over Birmingham at the weekend, and we are more than capable of turning over the rags the following week (and perhaps ending their season at the same time).
But the Spuds game... a win over them would more then likley secure us the CL spot. I want to hammer them.

Took me a while to work it out.
First I thought it was that old B movie with giant ants taking over LA. Then I thought Birmingham City, because we play them next, and a win would put us in an excellent position.
But you mean SCUM!
I am sure Bobby will be looking to beat Brum, Scum and Bum (Arse). Doing that may just win us 4th already!

Just shows exactly why Hughes was fired then eh? Them draws have really fucking cost us. Ah well no point in dwelling on that anymore to the fucking future! lol

im sure that has to be the aim.. and for once we are capable of achieving it. Brum first though.. lets hope we kick in with another good performance and set ourselves up nicely for the derby
