"Alex Ferguson has confirmed that Wayne Rooney has burst a blood vessel below his ankle during the game against Bayern Munich."

It doesn't say how long he will be out for though.

In certain circles, yes.

Thing is, in game like football burst blood vessel's or "bruises" as you call them are extremely uncommon and clearly show brutal treatment this spesific player has faced.

Fergie showed his weakness by starting rooney last night. Certainly not 100% fit, he gets played, showing that Fergie himself knows how much the Scum need him in their starting 11.

Any game Rooney missed now just means the other team will fancy their chances and go for it. Scum dont like it up 'em.

I hope he misses 2/3 more games and the derby because it will finish off any title challenge.

If i was playing against him I would do that, first few minutes kick his ankle, get a yellow card and off he goes!

He struggled last night and i'll be amazed if he is 100% fit for the derby. Ha ha ha ha ha. Hope he plays if he's as good as he was then.

Its more than a bruise you could tell that on wednesday first time he got caught on it.Bacon is playing Shrek whilst he is injured and only making things worse.He will be lucky to make the World Cup if it carries on.

Don't wish injury on anybody, but if he is actually hurt it is just because Ferguson was desperate and played him when he was blatantly not fit. Just as unreasonable as when Wenger played a seriously unfit Fabregas against Barcelona. The clubs get what they deserve. The only injury I wish on Rooney is to be heartbroken when we win the derby by a few goals.
