I quite like the Arndale, it's not too bad these days since they added the extra bit on the end. There's quite a lot of rubbish on the streets though which maybe something could be done about. Anyone know what's going on with that extra tram system they were planning?

Corporation Street should be open to 'normal' traffic and not just buses. And i despise that Berlin Wall they've built in Piccadilly Gardens.

It's horrible. When I first saw it, I thought the army must have built it for security at some big event there & wondered how long we'd have to put up with it.

why cant the council build us a proper bus terminus instead of that dysfunctional aberration we have in piccadilly atm. the second city of the UK and we don't even have a proper bus station; even shitholes like middlesborough have better ones!

I hear Whitworth street will be closed for some repair works. Ancoats road works are taking way longer than they should and buggering up my travel plans to game.

I can honestly say that the OK Café on Piccadilly is the finest of such establishments that I have ever encountered.

Dough in the Northern Quarter is a decent place to get some very reasonably priced Pizza.

I love the Arndale, especially that Sneaker store "Foot Asylum", I go there every time I am in Manchester.

Lots of bits of North Manchester are blessed with appauling Public Transport links. Getting back to MIddleton after a night in Manchester was a 'mare. South Manchester (Wilsmlow Road and Stockport Road corridors) were more looked after. As was anywhere on the Metrolink. Rusholme was an absolute pleasure to get back to when I went out around Princess Street or Oxford Road. Never a struggle to get something to eat, either!

I also think there was a lack of one proper place to go out at night where you had everything. It was all Northern Quarter or Portland Street or Deansgate / Deansgate Locks. Broad Street in Birmingham or The Bigg Market in Newcastle are better examples. There's only Canal Street which offers everything for that particular clientele - and that obviously got massive investment from the Council because they wanted the Pink Pound in the City.

My mate works there. Got to admit I like that shop too.
Also, I only use it to cut through in to the Arndale, but surely that Next we've got has to be the biggest in the UK? If I was a small child shopping with my parents I'd love to run off in there and get lost for a while!
