Adebayor too BIG for Milan?

Postby Original Dub » Fri Apr 09, 2010 5:40 pm

According to his agent:

"The player has signed a five-year contract with Manchester City and was an expensive purchase," he told tuttomercatoweb.

"He has a high wages that do not fall within the parameters of AC Milan, moreover, he is dong quite well [in Manchester]. The trains only pass in football once, Adebayor was close to Milan two years ago, but not any more."

Poor Coleen, that must have hurt :)

Doing quite well? He's been suspended twice and has had some life changing events to deal with this season. I'm loving the Goals he's provided - but there's so much more we need to see from Ade. Roll on next season and the lethal combo of Tevez and Adebayor up front. Opposition Keepers will be afraid!

Apart from the prestige of having played for the Rossoneri, one of the great names of world football, who would want to leave the Premiership for AC Milan? Only when you pass thirty and want a last great financial run: choose between the USA, Australia and Milan!
Unless he had a longstanding personal dream to play for Milan (or, for some reason, the manager wants rid of him), Adebayor has no incentive to leave us for Milan. He is on top wages (and increases are certainly not out of the question), playing for a team fighting for Champions League football where things are advancing and not declining (as at Milan).

All I can say is AC Milan board actually isn't able to sign an expansive striker like Ade is! Berlusconi is Italian premier before than AC Milan chairman. No more crazy investments, only young and cheap players for next future. Manu has no chance for next future: his job should be at Eastlands, on a pitch or on a bench with a City shirt!
From Torino, Italia to Manchester, Lancashire this City is always our City!

We signed a lot of players on such high wages that if we ever wanted rid it would be a pain in the ass as they would have to go for nearly half there weekly wage which they probably wouldn't agree to. Especially if we get in the champions league. What makes it worse is they will probably end up on the bench and whine and then end up going for free.. Don't think Ade falls into this category. However I may be wrong depending on who we sign in the summer.

You put up a front four of Tevez, Adebayor, Bellamy and Johnson and there isn't a defence in this league that won't be wearing plastic pants to bed the Friday night before.
