Where's John68 when you need him?

Taking a fare to St Helens?

At his prices that should pay for the next ten season tickets.

so come on, people in manchester, get phoning in and writing to the club to get MCFC to name a stand after him before he's not around anymore, i'm 3000 miles away and they'll not take much notice of an exile. Having him over for a week, putting him up in the Lowr, and giving him a posh seat in the directors' box is all very nice but it's not enough. There should be a Bert Trautmann stand in his lifetime.

Sadly, I was still making my way from the Townley and missed Mr Trautmann's cameo...I regret that. I was lucky enough to see him in action and he has always remained my personal City hero.
His life story from start to finish is an amazing adventure, full of danger, courage and bravery. He is the true life was hero of another nation who through his play, his behaviour and personality did wonders to heal the scars of hatred after WW2.
His testimonial match drew a packed house of City fans and rag's fans who came to pay homage. The teams that graced the pitch that night contained some of the greatest players of the time. It was an amazing night.

Today we accept our heroes easily. Mr Trautmann well and truly earnt his plaudits.
I KNOW THAT YOU BELIEVE THAT YOU UNDERSTOOD WHAT YOU THINK I WROTE, BUT I AM NOT SURE YOU REALISE THAT WHAT YOU READ IS NOT WHAT I MEANT
