Things you notice our players do a lot....

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Things you notice our players do a lot....

Postby Pretty Boy Lee » Mon Apr 12, 2010 12:38 am

I'll start.

Nigel - overhead kicks.

Gas baz- whether he gets pulled up or not seems to handle the ball a couple of times a week.
Tracking back is overrated.

Given saves, chucks it out to Johnson, Johnson crosses, Tevez scores and in between that move zabba fouls somebody.
Sounds good to me.

Tevez - stealing the ball from the opposition near our penalty area to break up another attack (could also put Bellamy in that sentance too)

Ned always seemed to take a half step back before moving forward with (or passing) the ball. I didn't see it today so maybe Mancini picked up on it and sorted him out.

shay given backheels the post before a goalkick
craig bellamy swears at the referee
nigel de jong passes backwards
emmanuel adebayor gets up very slowly
Berbatov wins golden boot, spends following season on the bench while his team loses title on goal difference. Well played, Fergie.

....give interviews. All of them. It feels sometimes that we are more like media agency than football club these days
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Modern Football, maybe we should just release the odd press statement from time to time.

I understand that it's modern thing and all that but they don't have to release press statement every time they change underwear. If they don't have nothing to say, except that "winning next game is important but if we lose we are still not out of contention for 4th spot", they should just shut up. I can see that by looking at league table, I don't need Nigel De Jong or Pablo Zabaleta telling me that.

Gareth Barry uses his body to draw fouls like no one else at the club.

Barry runs like he's got lead in his boots

SWP plays like he's in borrowed boots

Adebayor, when entering the field for the 2nd half, stops at the white line, crosses himself, points with both hands at the sky and then hops twice on his left leg onto the field

Bellers moans at officials/opponents/colleagues etc
