Just thinking today (for no real reason) which of our players would make the England squad if they were English. Obviously the ones that really are English are exempt, but fire away with a player and an opinion.


Tevez - would be reunited with fuck face from Trafford without a doubt. Way better than any other striker we'd be sending.

Only Tevez, if only he was English.

Kompany would be an outside chance as well.

Possibly Kompany but Hart is a better keeper than Given but he would get in before some of them other dolts who play in goal for England.

I think the assumption would be that Shay would have been in the England team set up since he was a kid. So he'd easily be the number one by now. Only reason Hart isn't is that they think he's too young.

I'm with Fish on this one. England are facing the dilemma of whether to include Bent, Heskey or Zamora in the squad. And Ade wouldn't be ahead of that lot? Hmmm

i really don't see how you can play Tevez and Rooney together in most situations. For me, it would be Ade, Given, and Bellamy, probably in that order. Tevez would make the squad and he and Rooney would find time together on the pitch against certain sides, but when one played it would often be at the expense of the other i believe.

De Jong and Kompany would have a pretty decent shot to make the squad i think.

I disagree with you on this one mate. And I suppose I disagree with Baconface, because I believe Rooney could play with Tevez. Both very intelligent, adaptable work horses that would rip defences apart.

They wre similar players and I understand the need for balance but in this circumstance, I believe they are similar because they can spot a pass, recieve a pass and finish like very few in the league.

They'd be amazing together IMO.
