Can we take maximum points from the next two games?

Postby colonel_muck » Mon Apr 12, 2010 10:23 am

We beat united at home in the carling cup, and ran them really close at the swamp twice. However, they are a wounded animal and they will be performing outstandingly against some poor bastards soon, we just have to make sure it isn't us, but a derby is a derby so it's always tough to call. I for one am more skeptical about the trip to the emirates, imagine if we took 6 points from the next two games we would be in cloud cuckoo land.

Agreed. We need to be realistic. Anything we take away from either game will be welcome - a derby is a derby and though we hate their guts Utd are a wounded animal of sorts, whilst our record at the Emirates and Highbury before it makes gruesome reading - if we win one of the two I'd be ecstatic, with the preference obviously being next saturday.

I think we can. We can score goals against those teams & I'd be surprised if we don't. If we also defend well enough we'll get 6 points. (that's the bit that worries me though!)

It's nice going into these games being able to compete on an even playing field rather than hoping we may get lucky and pull off a great result.

Because both Arsenal and United have hopes of winning the league still they will come at us and expose themselves at the back to get the win. This will enable us to counter attack and play to our strengths.

Just one win out of the above will give the team great confidence for the run in and kick Spurs, Villa and Liverpool fans hopes in the process.

If we get 3 or 4 points from our next two games I will be chuffed. I think we can beat United at home as well as Arsenal away but I am trying to be realistic here.

I really think it will depend if Rooney plays or not next weekend.

Yes, we can. We are as good as anyone.

I think we WILL get maximum points.

This is the first time sinc the takeover where we have hit top form for a run of matches and actually look like a TOP TEAM.

We'll take maximum points from both these games because whilst we had a better side on paper at the beginning of the season, we now have a team to go with it.

6 points.

Yes we can, but i think more likely to get 4 points from them which i would still be happy with (that being beat the rags and draw at emirates)

im not one to get carried away as i have done in the past only to get kicked in the teeth and brought crashing back to earth. so i will wait and see......
