Ref for the derby

Postby simon12 » Mon Apr 12, 2010 9:02 pm

Steve Bennett will take charge of City's Premier League game against Manchester United at Eastlands.

The Kent official has refereed 30 games so far this season in which he has shown 110 yellow cards and 6 reds.

Steve Bennett will be assisted by Martin Yerby and Michael Murphy for the local derby game on Saturday lunchtime.

How do we do under him compared to the scumshit?

He's refereed a number of United victories this year, as far as I can tell, the only one of ours he's done in the replay against Stoke, so he's the one who sent Ade off right?

Probably one of the worst refs we could have gotten. Although he did send off Ronaldo in one derby.

Considering how our win/loss record stacks up, that's not a bad effort.

I reckon he's one of the better Refs around at the moment. Doesn't take much shit from oiks from the Sky 4 and is at least fit enough to keep up with the game!

He shouldn't be allowed to referee whilst in that state, he is a disgrace.

Bennett is easily one of the worst referees around. To his credit it has to be said that he is usually equally shit to both sides so no one will gain advantage but expect so bizarre decisions. He is also as card happy as any referee so I'd be shocked if the game ended 11 vs 11.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Bennett is stuck in Madrid due to the volcanic ash cloud, Martin Atkinson will now take charge of the game tomorrow.

Bad new in my opinion.

The guy has been fucking deadon with the watch and time-on since, I think he is being ludicrously accurate cause he knew he fucked up last time. Not sure we have too much to worry about here.
