Ireland been gash all season, swp been poor all season, Santa Cruz been injured, Garrido, etc etc etc, where are they, why are they not playing in the bloody reserves.
You can look down on the standard of football, but it is match practice, it is against different players to your training group so you should learn something from it.

i totally agree with you on that john also players who are coming back from injury eg Micah Richards might be fit for saturday so why not give him a run out in a game like this thats the sort of thing the reserves used to be about

Surely any live practice against opponents who want to win is better than fucking around a training pitch for an hour a day. Oooh maybe it would put their nose out of joint, fuck em, if they werent playing like cunts, they wouldnt have to play in the reserves

On the flip side, the kids need the same match practice as well.

the success (or not) of the first team pays the wages of the kids

Without quality kids coming through it will cost the club a lot more to find new talent.
