Nooly - Rule #1 when starting a McClaren thread: Find required YouTube link.

I agree as it's the first thing that I scrolled down looking for once I'd clicked on this thread - it's, how you say, priceless

Yesssss!!!!! Was soooo scared the arrogant wallbuilding scummy tosspot cunts were going to win the league on the last day but thankfully Schteeve's team kept their nerve. Just hope Suarez breaks his neck now and the ajax stadium collpases to top off a good day. Apparently the #2 from Holland will play either the English, Italian or Spanish #4 so let's hope City draw ajakkes and we bumfuck 'em.

Sometimes you're quite funny with your outspoken-ness. Other times you come across as an extremely bitter bloke with a chip on his shoulder.

Credit to Schteve, for all the shit he admirably took on the chin, he deserves to be recognised for his achievements when they come. This is the man who took current Championship also-rans to a European final. Bit of a prat? Yes. Failure as England manager? Yes. Proven club manager? Yes. Credit where it's due.

His club CV isn't too bad and with his past connections I can see himm replacing Taggart.
Here's hoping.

Very amusing!

On topic I think it's a great achievement by second choice Schteve to pull this off and resurrect his career. Credit to him for having the balls to do what most English managers wouldn't dare and go overseas WITHOUT any fellow Brits to hold his hand.

He did this in a foreign environment with overseas coaches (at the recommendation of the late Sir Bobby Robson)....it's a great advertisement for English football IMO. One of the things that has held (and continues to hold us back) as a footballing nation is the reluctance of players and coaches to broaden their horizons and take career risks overseas. I would like to say that he will maybe a trailblazer but, like Bobby Robson, I fear that this will be a once a generation event

I hear he's being touted to return to the Prem next season, I wonder who it'll be to?

I actually think he will go to one of the top German teams.

Hamburg isn´t a top german team anymore.......

oh, how I enjoyed writing this sentence......:-)

At least it dispells the myth that English numpty managers can't win stuff in other countries. To take a team like that & win their league he has definitely outperformed the other managers there.

Good job he's not called Maclaranio or everyone would be after him replacing Mancini if he draws a few games before Christmas.
