Agreed mate. I was more nervous before the 1st game of the season at Blackburn. I had a horible feeling that after a summer of hype we would lose, get of to a bad start and the media would be all over us creating stacks of pressure.

I know believe we have proved a point that we can be serious contenders in the future.

If we get into the Champs League this year, absolutely brilliant. If not, so be it, we will do soon .... it's inevitable.

Whatever ..... this is much better than a relegation fight!

You're trying to lie to yourself there gillie I reckons....

Its only a massive game.

Well, there can't be any complaints if we lose fair and square, it really is a fantastic way of deciding fourth spot. The ONLY way I'll be fucked off afterwards is if there's a dodgey decision that robs us. I feel the footballing authorities have been very unfair to us this season and actually taking champions league football away from us would be too much for me to take.

Other than that, go out with confidence against a side that is far from outstanding on the road and do to them what united did to them only a couple of weeks ago and we'll be fine.

Technically gillie, if we win this one by a significant margin, maybe 2 or 3 goals, then a draw against West Ham would be good enough.

That's also true.

It'd probably be even more nail biting that way though, because Spurs are more than capable of winning by four goals or more at burnley...

All these permitations have been doing my fucking head in over the last while. Bring on Wednesday NOW FFS!

I've been trying hard not to dwell on this but you've only gone and made me start again ;-o

It would be the most annoying of ironies if Spurs needed to run up a cricket score against Burnley and actually succeeded - given that it was only the weather which prevented US from doing so.

Okay, had a double check.

If we win 2-0 and draw the final day, they would have to win 7-0 against Burnley. (6 would tie them on GD but we have scored a bunch more than them)

And how good will that point at Arsenal feel? We currently have a +2 GD on Spurs and as we need to win it will be a minimum of +3, which means Spuds would have to score 4 at Burnley without conceding. Not much of an ask really, but not that easy if you ask me as only us and Liverpool have scored more than 3 at Turf Moor.

I know it's jumping the gun and the only game that matters is the one on Wednesday, but I wonder if Mancio planned it like this.

Oh you poor math-retarded fool.

If we are +2 and we beat THAT team, our GD goes up one...what does theirs do?

Oh 'fucking' I. I was thinking of a way to get out of it, but just couldn't find it ;-)
