Training Monday 3/5

Postby Douglas Higginbottom » Mon May 03, 2010 12:01 pm

There wasn't any! Not exactly true but all the Saturday first team did was jog around the full field very gently and a few stretches before going in. They were greeted by some cheering bank holiday fans when they got close enough but that was that. That would have been good though cheering for Bellers/Tevez and Ade with Ade waving for it to be louder. Just easing the remaining aches and stiffness from Saturday and probably a little work indoors today. A more normal session is likely tomorrow but certainly not a strenuous one.

The subs bench from Saturday mixed with the main reserves and did all the usual warm up stuff. Mancini watched this lot and took groups over to work behind the fence and they finished with a match. Barry was out towards the end jogging around and said he is hopeful for Wednesday but there was no sign of Ireland.

Good stuff.

Well, the match is the day after tomorrow and its damn close to the end of the season so I'd imagine in most cases its trying to make sure we don't get a silly injury in training?

This game will be all about spirit and no amount of training can instill that I don't imagine!

Nice to have Barry back, but I'd stick with the two of Vieira and De Jong. If it ain't broke and all that. Bring Barry on if we're holding on to a slender lead...

Poor stevie, just when we need a purely attack minded midfielder and the lad is injured.

Hopefully French Pat looked okay and no stiffness....doug?

Lazy gets, doesn't Mancio know how much these players earn?

Cheers for the report Doug, are you sure they're not back out later?

Well you know how Patrick sprints about in a match ,his gentle jogging looks like he is more dragging his feet along very very slowly.Don't worry he wasn't wasting enrgy.

Good man, he really is the barometer for this team since he has been here, I think people underestimate how important he is.

i rekon there is some serious learning going with his squad at the mo.. from the boys who have the experience that counts at times like these.. great stuff.

Great to have Barry on the bench for Wednesday too.

thanks once again Doug
