Goalkeeping Wednesday

I have not seen this anywhere...

Ok so we are down to Sunderland's 3rd keeper and Spurs are likely to play an untested (at top level) U-21 England international, how does this play out in the equation now?

If Gomes is truly out, I think it further enhances our chances.

If gomes is defo out I think they will try and protect there kid and go for a draw. This will make it harder for us to break them down. Eventually they will cave in cos as we all know too well you can't just defend against quality teams and not concede

if gomez plays he could easily tweak the groin strain and end up going off..
if they play the newbie, then he will have to settle down quickly and it is likely he will flap a bit at least at first.

right now i think that we had the chance to bed our emergency guy in for just that one game means very slight advantage City.

Oh and an amazing recovery by Gomes is announced. I hope he is forced to do the splits 10 minutes in and his bollocks drop to the ground for all to see. Fuck off 'Arry.

There must be a high chance that he won't get through the game (hopefully) so that'll be a sub wasted for a start

groin strains are notorious for re-occuring.

stress is notorious for aggrevating the chances of mistakes...there is a lot of leg throwing in last ditch defending!

i rekon Gomez has forced himself to play as they didn't want to be coming out with the replacement.. but it is a huge gamble because if the worst happens for them they lose a substitution AND they drop straight into psychological nightmare with their new boy facing Bellers, AJ, Ade and Tevez.

oh and i heard somewhere that big Nige wants to get on the scoresheet.

watch this space...

I thought that might happen.
