Just watched City v Gillingham highlights again. Tears in my eyes - what a distance we have come in just eleven years! Win, lose or draw tonight, it's been amazing and will get EVEN better!

ah thank god....you're starting to talk sense again ;-)

It's been an incredible ride....I can remember talking to my bird back in 1999 just down from Piccadilly Circus with hardly any voice left telling her it was the happiest day of my life.

I will feel similarly tonight if we go past these fuckmonkeys

BUT even if we don't I am pleased as punch with how we have done this season. It's been a bumpy old ride but, as we stand upon the threshold, looking back it is amazing how far we have come in 11 years.

I'm proud of City and I'm proud to be Blue.

Cmon City

Now that was the most important game in our history - if we had not gone up that year I really think that we would be history - a Notts Forest at Best

I certainly do not think that there would have been a move to COMS - and therefore no Sheik etc etc

My memory is a little addled nowadays but that day is one of those most clear to me - people still do not realise just how late the goals were - it was 0 - 0 after 80 FFS - and I can remember saying to my mate after the Horlock goal - "typical fucking CITY - too little - too late...."

Think I only missed 3 games that season - and whilst it was an experience which I can now look back on - I would much rather be planning European trips - hopefully the Sheik with Mancini will start to really banish that typical CITY mentality once and for all

Every time I see Dickov's goal, I think of how it could have gone wrong at any stage - from Weaver's pass down the line for our throw-in; from the throw-in itself; the humped ball forward; the nod on... take out any of those equations and it might not have fallen for Dickov to shoot high into the net. So much rode on that one chance. And now look at us.

Long, long bike ride later for me. Anything to keep my mind active.
