Look to the future

Postby ruralblue » Wed May 05, 2010 9:16 pm

Have some faith for fucks sake, think before all the slagging city posts off and Mancini out bollox. He hasn't had a full season, maybe Burnley draw or Fulham coming back into it cost us?. I don't really know I can't think straight but lets not go for the jugular, lets press on, look forward to next season, to sorting out one or two positions in the transfer window. Lets all stop and think about one of the best seasons we have had since John68 was a lad. I am gutted proper gutted but it is not the time for mass hysteria and loads of ridiculous posts, let blue moan take care of that. Lets have a nive 'meet the fulkers', lets enjoy the world cup and enjoy the Summer and yes pay attention to what could have been but what wasn't.

Exits stage left for a small suicide attempt and then back to reality.

is the only way up though? no idea what'll happen in the summer, Tevez, Ade, Bellamy could all leave, the players could go mental and all want to leave. We needed this and fucking blew it.

Dont think they will Bobaji, I think they will all look back and see it as they have something to prove. Yes I think we will see chnges but don't think it will be Mancini going, maybe one or two positions being looked at but don't think rats jumping a sinking ship.

THANK YOU. For making the positive thread. I tried but I guess my vocabulary let me down.

Even when Crouch scored I stayed upbeat. Even when we looked to have lost it in the injury time I stayed upbeat. And, even when finally bennett blew his whistle and the dream finally, completely died, I did stay upbeat. Disappointed yes, gutted yes. But upbeat.

I had realised already how fucking amazing season this has been! Incredible. Looking up for most of the season instead of lookin' down. Scoring goals instead of conceding. Playing goodball instead of being fucking boriiiiing (overall this season).

We are going places. It's still work in process and everyone should realise that. We've come so far already. Believe.

Guaranteed european football and the season isn't even over - fuck me.

Of course the future is bright, we've enough money that eventually we will win the Premier League. Theres nothing so sure. The future is fine.

Tonight is easily the most disappointing night ive ever had watching City. Ill stew over this latest devestation for a while thank you very much.

There was never a likelihood that our drive to the top would be plain sailing. There were always going to be ups and downs and this is a down. It feels really really crap but we have to take it on the chin, learn from it and get better.

Next season we continue to improve , make 4th at least and win a trophy.

top post. Cheered me up little bit.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Now all i can see happening is we make some massive fuck ups, firstly will sack Mancini then we will fuck off most of the team, then we will buy another load of wona b's and so the circus will begin all over a fuckin gain.
If we do go down this road it will be a total waiste of time.
We now need to show some faith in what we have and build from there, but as iv'e already said that isn't likely to happen now is it?

To try and look at things in a more positive light, perhaps being in the Europa ain't such a bad thing.

First of all if we were in the Champions League we would be unseeded and could end up in a group with Barcelona, Real Madrid or some other club of that ilk.

We also have very little experience of a run in Europe as a club. Maybe next season we can get a good squad together that can compete for every domestic cup and hopefully go on a great run in the Europa League.

Although we haven't reached the CL I believe that we are taken a lot more serious than we was 12/18 months ago.

I think we may get more of our targets than we think in the summer, players will know that they will only have a season to wait for the Chumps and perhaps we'll win a pot or two on the way.

Thank you for the positive thread. I'm having a really hard time thinking through my disappointment just now to add to it, but indeed things will get better.

How about this - winning Europa would be more exciting than making it to the last 16 of the Champions League, and is probably about as likely.

For anybody who had the honor to be at the match tonight, well done. The noise after they scored was uplifting.
Proud to outfit my local league team in Sky Blue.

COME ON CITY!

All I want for my birthday is a derby win.

Europa League? How many top class players will want to come to us to potentially play over 50 games next season in Europes second rate cup competition? We have fucked it up tonight and no amount of positive thinking will alter that fact.
