As so many fans decided that it was just too late to be awake or were so upset we may not win the league this year. May i just extend my thanks to the players for such a great season - the best i can ever remember! Thanks to the sheik for letting us dream and keeping that dream running - we are a club who will win! But also to the lads who contribute to this forum and kk,ww et al who keep the place going!

COME ON CITY!!!

Bring on Lansdown road!

Yep mate, I agree. Thank you to the club and the team on here. Cracking season and the best man won.

Will we be aiming for 6th next season, I don't think so!

Spuds deserved it.not sure what to make of season... too many moments when i thought I was going to watch history be made but then get kicked square in the nuts.not sure when or if it will change but must soldier on until it does.positives have to be bacon face is another year closer to retirement and Scoles and Giggs must be nearer finished,United are heavier in debt and bin-dippers are about to implode, though spuds may be harder than ever for us next year to break the hoodoo but then again we may finally get a point if we play them after a midweek champions league game.

Quote from the papers - Sheikh Mansour does not have to do things the nice way.
The debt-free owner of Manchester City, if he wished, could buy out the Glazers, keep Wayne Rooney and Patrice Evra, flog the rest and, having painted Old Trafford blue, use it as a training ground.

Wish he would if only to see the look on Taggart's face.

If you can keep your head when all around you are losing theirs, it's just possible that you haven't really grasped the gravity of the situation.

Still in a daze wondering where it went wrong but this is a great sentiment to end the day with. The Spuds match epitomized our season - the players gave it their all, overall we had the better flow, but in the end we just came up short against a team that has been building toward this longer than us. At least we are still on the up, and have a squad that seems genuinely to want to be part of our eventual (and inevitable) success. Let's get a couple of quality signings that want to be part of this grand adventure and then solidify ourselves next year, so that when we do get to the big show it will be with a group who are in it for the right reasons and we know we can count on.

So thank you to the players and mgmt and fans who are in it for the long haul.
Proud to outfit my local league team in Sky Blue.

COME ON CITY!

All I want for my birthday is a derby win.
