Ins and outs

Postby Dazzacity » Thu May 06, 2010 10:45 am

Im not postin this as a reaction from last night, but more to the fact that the season is now basically over for us.. Im just wonderin who you think will be gone at the end of the season and who you want out? I feel that many of our 'want out' lists will unfortunately hang around at the club due to the silly contracts they're on. I actually find this worryin as we could find ourselves with a squad full of shite that we wont be able to get rid of i.e Toure, Bridge, Jo and maybe even Adebayor

Also, who do you think we can still attract as replacements ? .

Thats my worry. How much is RSC on?? prob too much for any club to be willing to match and I cant really see such players being willing to take a pay cut. Iv got a feelin we will have a few Danny Mills' at our club..

For me, we can get rid of SWP, Toure, Boj, Big Phil, Jo, Etuhu, Taylor, Benj, Petrov and Vieira.
Maybe's are Ireland, Bridge and RSC (although if they were willing to sit on the bench and play in the FA and Carling Cup I'd keep them)
I'd keep Sly on as a coach definitely.

We're going to need a big squad next year though with being in Europa, FA Cup, Carling Cup and obviously the league.

But these players have looked uninterested fighting for a Champs League spot. I cant see them pulling their socks up just to be used for LC EL games..

IMO I cannot understand why Bellamy should be leaving when he is one of the hardest workers on the pitch, creative and can score from midfield. Also why get rid of Ireland? Mancini has decided not to play him but a run in the first team would surely force out Barry(who has under performed all season), Vieira and maybe even De Jong. Ireland is a playmaker, a hardworking midfielder and also a central midfielder who can both pass and tackle efficiently something that we have been lacking this season.

If we need a large squad for next season at least get rid of the dead wood like Vieira first before the actual talent that's in the first team!

I don't think Bridge has looked uninterested at all. I just think he's been injured most of the season. I don't think he's good enough for where we're trying to go though. Ireland I could probably agree with you on. He's got his fat contract now though so I'm sure he's happy he can buy a few extra cars a year.

We haven't got a full back at the club who fits this level. Our lack of these full backs exposes other players who would otherwise perform better (CBs, Bellamy, SWP, Johnson)

Therefore 2 backs is a priority, as well as the obvious midfielders and a top striker.

How is the Home Grown players rule gonna effect things next season. How many should we have in the 1st squad ??

I would get rid of Bridge, RSC and maybe SWP (Vlad should be ready to take over). Ireland can be added to this list.
I also wouldn't shed a tear if Toure goes. Ned can do just as a good a job if not better and we still have Lescott.
Veiera and Sylvinho will probably retire. Bellers I sense, wants to go, so let him. Petrov is most probably gone.
Boj sound like another Bellers "wanna go" but I would take back Big Phil.
Benji's contract is up so we don't have to worry about him. And I completely forgot about fucking Jo. Who will take him ? And we still have Robson on the books !!

Ins: Torres, Benzema, Lahm, Maicon (why not, we can pay him more). How about Robben, I think he'd like to come back to England to prove a point. His teammate Olic is a hard worker and can be useful and not very expensive.

Yea forgot about those. I would rather have Fulop as our Number 2 (or 3) than Taylor for sure.
I would keep Vidal and Logan though at least for now.

Without Champions League Football? I can see one of Tevez and Adebayor asking for a move. I hope they don't.

Out: Santa Cruz, Ireland, Toure and the obvious ones like Caiceido and Bojinov.
