Letter from the club

Postby eastlandsblue » Fri May 07, 2010 4:36 pm

I recieved the letter this morning outlining their plans for tier 2 East and colin bell stands.

season tkts will be priced form Approx £625 to approx £775 the higher valued being closer to the halfway line. The increase's will be staggered over 2 seasons and therefore be in place by Aug 2012 consession prices will still be availible.

You would hope that the improvements would justify the increase's

Yeah, I got the same. I would like to apologise to the club for slagging them off on this site regarding this issue. This is exactly what people in my position needed. That's a full and frank explanation of what's happening and what's being planned. For anyone who's interested, here's what the club are saying regarding tier 2, CB and East...........................

"These enhancements will be designed to provide those fans in the Colin Bell and East Stand Level Two with a significantly improved match day offering whether by means of an upgraded concourse, improved food and drink, better seating or improvements to the concourse TV network. The club has a clear idea of how these areas may look, but is seeking feedback from supporters to ensure the changes reflect the wants and needs of those using it. Fans will be invited to contribute to the planning process for this area. You will be contacted via email.......etc............"

"We feel it is very important to stress that the changes intended do not mean that this is a 'hospitality' product. It is not the clubs intention to bring in numerous non City fans and 'charge them the earth' as has been speculated in some quarters. Nor is it about accommodating only corporate clients over existing fans."

"We also feel it is appropriate to provide indicative pricing structure for the two areas in question in order that fans can make an informed decision as to whether to retain their seats or seek relocation to another area of the ground"

So that's that then. Lytham and I shall be eating prawn sandwiches and quaffing fine wine in our seats whilst you we look down our noses at the rest of you rabble.

Seriously, well done the club for putting things straight.

Don't forget to ask for pickled eggs and deep fried Scotch Pie for when I take your seats next year ;-)

I'm staying put for next season. I'm really not arsed for any enhancements. In fact, they can fuck all the concourse facilities off completely and charge me less. You reckon they'll be up for that?

If I didn't take my young lad to every game, I'd be happy with pole dancers on the concourse. And a maybe a giant pause button in the unlikely event that I need a piss during the game. Maybe have that Vermillion restaurant doing the food and bringing me course after couse during the game, whilst naked woman feed me grapes.
