Do you think this will increase next season?

Do you think adding to our capacity is worth it?

Yes and yes.

I think it'll be a sell out almost every week next season and that next summer we'll make it 3 tier all the way round.

The only way I could see us filling 60/70k would be by dropping the prices significantly in the 3rd tiers, otherwise I think it would be pointless, whatever we win in the next couple of years

Does anyone know when the results of our season predictions comp are being compiled? I think Slim was the man responsible.

I find it hard to believe that less than 90% of the £250 Cards will be anywhere but the 3rd Tier. If demand is really high then it'll free up better seats in other parts of the ground.

It's a good average attendance. Not all Away Teams bring a full capacity and we've had a fair few kick off changes.

Chelsea and Tottenham would beat it if they had bigger Stadiums.

The fact that Tickets almost always go on General Sale at City indicates that anyone who really wants a Seat should be able to get one.

96% capacity is pretty good but I reckon we need to maintain this for a couple of seasons to justify extending the ground.

Got to agree with this. We should learn to walk before we can run. Adding more seats at the moment would be wrong and again it would be another thing for people to add to there agenda and to take the piss out of. I think if we start to win trophys and a load of bandwaggoners and part timers wanted to attend then look at it but at the min I think we are fine as we are.

Extra capacity NOW (or the very near future) means more flexibility for pricing options. The sooner they add more seats the better.

Yeah that's right, we'll be down to 4th next season when the Geordies are back up.

Quite right mate. Plus there'll be disruption and loss of capacity during works. So the sooner they start the better. Obviously it wont happen this summer now, so a start of 2011 certainly wouldn't be too soon.

Not sure there'll be so much general sale next season Jim. And we still only finished 5th!!

I don't think we should base our stadium plans on being afraid of rags taking the piss. Get it built when possible.

I'd be interested to know how many of you who get the cheap tickets are seated anywhere other than the top tiers. Just my theory but it would be a good way of craftily moving large groups of people upstairs voluntarily.

And so do I

We're not talking about chucking up a house extension here....it's a massive piece of construction/engineering

Let's get it going, it will take a good while to do and will cause disruption....I'm actually amazed that we haven't announced anything to date although the planning/government issues referred to earlier in the thread could explain that.
