Would'nt it be an idea to actually make a seperate 'transfer rumour' forum in the board index??like we have for 'off topic'..Its getting a bit messy having all the rumours and transfer talk packed into one thread, its all over the shop. We could have a seperate forum where people could start seperate threads on different players and stories.

Just an idea.

I think its a good idea and quite like the way bluemoon have it setup, I know some people, like me, really enjoy speculating about transfers whereas others, the majority it seems, hate it.
I'd be for it.

I'd quite like it- I don't look at the transfer thread, basically because it's too long, and I don't want to have to sift through NoTW & Mirror 'exclusives' to find something semi-realistic or interesting.

on a side note, I heard we're in talks with Hatem Trabelsi but we're unsure over his wage demands.

Lads its easy to look at Bluemoon if you like that, but opening up a circus here and hoping it doesn't draw clowns is a dangerous move IMO.

I wouldn't be dead against it but honestly, I love the fact that we at least TRY to deal with facts here. There's endless amount of pointless rumours to scroll through in Blue Moon. I do it as well every now and then.

on the face of it quite like the original idea.. lots of other teams big forums split things up like that, not only transfer talk.. however OD has a really valid point..

the question is would it encourage more 'clowns' to post, just cos there is a transfer talk/ rumour board, than already do on here anyway ?

maybe best to try it and see.. can always be changed back.

but you could keep him in one forum and choose to ignore it when the more sensible chat is contained in the on topic forum

But even if it does attract prats, at least they will be confined to a separate thread in a separate forum rather than spouting their shit in the one thread we all have to flick through. If it looks like a bullshitter, you just ignore the thread they have made..

AND THE AWARD FOR BIGGEST DICK HEAD OF THE YEAR GOES TO!

I mentioned this last year and the idea was frowned upon I don't honestly see why not it would at least keep the transfer rumours away from those who don't care for them. It would take only a few minutes to set up too.. If it didn't work after a week or so they could merge the forum back into the main forum and remove it with nothing lost. No harm in testing it no?

Yeah, I dont even bother with the transfer thread as its just all over the shop and mostly full of posts callin other members bull shitters etc. I cant see the harm in creatin a sub-forum.I can understand why it has all been thrown into one thread, but something else needs sorting as it will be mayhem once the window really gets goin..

I like the idea. That way, all the ITKs are in one area. I'm off to get my pitchfork, ready for when you round them up. Can anyone tie a noose?

It is nice to talk a bit of bollox every now and again, but I couldn't do with this place degenerating into petty arguments over who knows what about transfers. The Hughes thread is the place for arguments.
