City set to launch 'new Rooney'

Promising Manchester City youngster John Guidetti is set to be given his chance to join Roberto Mancini’s first-team squad next season.
Eighteen-year-old Guidetti is likely to be one of several youngsters included in Mancini’s squad for the three-week US tour in July.
Brommapojkarna asked City to extend his loan beyond the Swedish League’s break for the World Cup, but Mancini wants to see how the burly front man does alongside the first team.
The Swedish youth international striker has made a big impact on loan at his hometown club for the last three months, scoring three goals and claiming three assists in eight appearances for the mid-table club.
That came after an impressive season for the Blues’ under-18 team, netting 13 times in 19 games before marking his reserve team debut with a hat-trick against an experienced Burnley side.
Guidetti may yet go out on loan next season, but initially he will be one of eight players who make the move from the Academy set-up at Platt Lane to train with the senior pros at Carrington.
He was also named player of the tournament as the under-18s won the Al Ain International Championship in Abu Dhabi, beating Inter Milan’s youth set-up along the way.
Guidetti was signed as a 15-year-old by then City boss Sven-Goran Eriksson, and has since been tagged “the Swedish Wayne Rooney”, a label which is a little premature – City’s Academy staff have stressed that the Stockholm boy is a long way from being the finished article.
The other boys to make the leap to Carrington are Libyan midfielder Ahmad Benali, Norwegian schemer Omar Elabdellaoui, French defender Jeremy Helan, English defenders Reece Wabara, Tom Smith and Sean Tse, and Swiss under-17 skipper Freddie Veseli

No AC Milan Approach For Manchester City-Owned Striker Robinho But They Want Goias Defender Rafael Toloi - Agent
But the Rossoneri have laid eyes on Rafael Toloi.
Robinho’s representative has played down reports linking the Brazilian striker with a summer move to Serie A giants Milan.
Robinho is currently on loan at Santos from English side Manchester City, who will reportedly look to sell the 26-year-old during the close season.
Milan are said to have enquired after the former Real Madrid man, but the player’s agent, Juan Figer, insists he has not been approached by the Via Turati officials.
“The Rossoneri have never contacted me about Robinho, but they did it about a different player,” he told Calciomercato.it.
“I must confirm that they have indeed shown interest in Rafael Toloi, although they have yet to make a decisive move and we are just at the sounding out stage.
“But be careful, as the Goias defender is also a target for Palermo.”
The 19-year-old centre-back came through the ranks at Goias and has been capped 13 times for the Brazil Under-20 side
Cardiff in shock bid to bring Bellamy home
Cardiff City are making an astonishing move to bring Craig Bellamy 'home' - and the Manchester City ace may help the amazing bid.
Boss Dave Jones has been given the go-ahead from the Welsh club's new Malaysian owners to pull off the coup of the year. And Bellamy is willing to move to his favourite club, who are trying to find ways of making it happen.
Bellamy is on around £4million a year at City and valued at £7million by the mega-rich club. But Cardiff have two ways of getting round that and are working on it.
The fiery forward could ask to be paid a settlement by City in return for cancelling his contract and that would let him go to Cardiff on a sensible deal.
Or Cardiff could take Bellamy on loan for a year and ask City to pick up a chunk of his wages.Cardiff insiders reveal that the plan is advanced and claim Bellamy is 'up' for the idea that will stun football.
Bellamy watched Cardiff in the play-offs and would be happy to go back to his roots with his family.
The far-travelled star has clashed with Roberto Mancini and some City officials lately as his days at the club seem numbered.
But while Tottenham and Everton were lining up for a signing war it appears Bellamy's heart is set on Cardiff and the Championship.
Cardiff know that the move would make them promotion favourites after their Wembley heartache and also fill their new ground.
The new owners have cash for big projects but the real impetus with the Bellamy deal is that their target is willing to give up cash.
Bellamy is a multi-millionaire and can make this dream final move. Now City will have to find a way to make the numbers work.
One top Cardiff source said: "It may sound like a dream bout could be reality soon and it will take the roof off this place."
